The protection of your family, friends, home and property against fire and other emergencies is provided by trained people. We differ in but one critical respect from members of City Fire Departments - We are all VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS. No one is salaried. Participation in required training is all accomplished during the volunteerʼs time away from work and family. This money helps to enhance services and equipment utilized to provide even better protection to our community. We will remain a no Fee service. TO REPORT AN EMERGENCY, KEEP CALM & DIAL 9-1-1

Asphalt roofs can require re-roofing every 12-20 years. An asphalt roof starts to break down as soon as it’s installed. Weather and ul-traviolet light break down the oil infused paper or fiberglass. A metal roof coated with AZM coating will significantly outlast asphalt roofing.

Don’t forget to check out Moonchild’s Musings boutique at 10549 Main St. Also, 3-Star Restaurant, RJ’s Cafe, Piz-A-Italia, and Shelley’s are great places to get a snack and drink!

METAL ROOF ADVANTAGES!

Compare to asphalt roof that require reroofing 12 to 20 years. A metal roof coated with AZM coating will significantly outlast!

Now available in a wide varierty of styles and colors and it can be install over the existing asphalt roof!

Millions of pounds of asphalt shingles are dumped in landfills across the country. Metal roofing is often composed partially of recycled metals.

If ice problems exit it’s easier to add additional insulation to a metal roof than it is a comparable asphalt roof.

An EGG-cellent Learning Experience

Students in Mrs. Grimaldi's third grade classroom successfully incubated and hatched nine chicks. While caring for the chicks, students focused on environment and survival standards for their grade level. Mrs. Grimaldi would like to thank New York Agriculture in the Classroom for awarding the Agricultural Literacy Grant and Cluck and Duck Farms for the donation of eggs. Plant Sale for North Collins Veterans Tribute

OFFICE HOURS: Mon -Wed: 9am-3pm Thurs: 9am-12pm DEADLINE: Tuesday at 12pm

According to the weather men, this Mother’s Day weekend is the first weekend of this year that there has been no precipitation, either snow or rain. Well... the Tribute Board was out in full force selling plants that were donated by the generous local florists and growers. Also a big hit were the hot dogs and sausage cooked to perfection. Thanks to the great weather, we had another sell out year. The North Collins community always comes out to support the veterans. A great day and a great project to support.

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER…

“Life belongs to the living and he who lives must be prepared for changes.” — Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Life is unpredictable. Change is inevitable and constant. In today’s busy world facts, circumstances, and figures change from one moment to another.

Changes are happening all around us. The earth and all it contains is in a state of constant growth and change. Perhaps changes are also happening in the lives of our loved ones or our friends… children are moving away or moving back home… a loved one begins a new job… someone retires....new acquaintances enter our lives… These changes may not always be a comfortable experience. We may even talk ourselves into feeling fearful about the changes that are occurring. But we should remind ourselves to stay poised, peaceful, and trusting, for God is with us through every change.
