Sometime it all just seems to be “too much.” We are so busy with work and family commitments that there seems to be no time to relax. We might be worrying about friends or family members who are seriously ill. The uncertainty in the world might keep us from sleeping. It doesn’t do much good to look back and say to yourself “that’s not how it used to be” or look forward and not be able to see anything but more of the same.
For believers there has always been the relief of looking upward, of looking toward a higher power that can provide calmness, guide us and add purpose to our days. Looking upward you can see beyond minuscule events and pettiness; you can see possibilities that you didn’t know existed. You can find your way in a chaotic world with grace and joy. Keep looking upward.
