Sharon Lynn Iler Morris
Sharon Lynn Iler Morris, age 76, of Fostoria, OH, passed away on March 30th, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on November 20, 1948, in Angola, NY. The daughter of Signa Iler and James Iler. She was preceded in death by her parents and Susan Gail Iler Randell (2020)(Peter Randall). She is survived by her husband, Michael Mahlon Morris whom she married in 1967; her children Michelle Marie Morris Girts (Darren Girts) from Charlotte, NC; Michael Mahlon Morris II (Sherri Lynn Morris) of Syracuse, NY. Grandchildren, Ryan, Kailey, Grace, Micah, Jadon, Faith; 2 great grandchildren, Christian and Isla; Brother James Iler (Leslie Iler) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Sharon was dedicated to her family, and her church. She was a youth group leader, Sunday school teacher, Bible study leader, and Avon representative. She opened and operated her Bible bookstore and was a positive spiritual example to the community. She became a member of Fostoria Baptist Church and has been working with the children’s ministry and teaching Sunday school.
The family would like to thank the staff at Spring Creek nursing home in Green Springs for their most amazing care and loving help. Thank you to the Fostoria church family for the flowers, cards, calls, visits, and love. Thank you to her family, who so willingly helped when needed most.
On April 26, 2025, at Fostoria Baptist Church, Fostoria, OH, there will be a visitation with the family from 11:30 AM-12:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life / Memorial at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to her church’s mission fund.

Scott J. Franz, 54 of Hamburg, NY passed away in his home on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. Scott was born March 25, 1971 in North Boston. He was a son of Robert Franz Sr. and JoAnne Franz. Brother of Robert Franz Jr. and Melinda Franz-Witte, grandson to the late Stanley and Rose Gawron. Scott is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Franz and Colleen Franz and a granddaughter Brooklyn Goodridge. Gary E. Wentland of North Collins, NY entered into rest April 3, 2025 at the age of 73 years. Beloved husband of the late Donna (Skora) Wentland. Loving father of Tammy (TJ) Winter, Melissa (Paul) Taylor and Shaun (Jessica) Wentland. Stepfather of Jeffrey (Jenni Weisedel), Joseph (Sarah) and Jamie (Alicia) Fisher. Grandfather of Austin, Dylan, Rosie, Reece, Jayden, Emily, Alexa, Peyton, Rory, Emmitt, Calla, Laney, Kai, Alex, Morgan and Evan. Great grandfather of Dawson. Son of the late Eugene and Shirley Wentland. Brother of the late James (Colleen) Wentland. Gary was the owner of Wentland Funeral Home and Monuments. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea. Gary was a staple of the North Collins Community and will be greatly missed by his family and dear friends. Gary had 25 years in the North Collins Fire Company where he was a past President, and was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 1640.
