Ted is survived by his loving companion of 28 years, Darlene Dynarski, and was the devoted son of Patricia Desmond Williams and the late Donald A.Williams. Ted is also survived by siblings, Amy Williams (Darryl Hauser) and Greg Williams (Emily) and nephews Andrew and Ben. Ted, or Teddy to many, was a kind, generous and creative man who loved life and tried to live every day to its fullest. He spent much of his time outdoors enjoying skiing or snowmobiling with friends or in the garden cultivating beautiful flowers or creating art pieces he would yearly enter in the Erie County Fair, often resulting in winning ribbons. Always a character, Ted had one of the biggest hearts a human can have and was ready with a smile, advice, or kind words of support to everyone. He was a good friend to so many and quickly offered help to anyone in need. If Ted was your friend, you were friends for life. He had your back. And he still does. Rest easy, Ted, you will forever be in our hearts. Family and friends called at the Laing Funeral Home Inc. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mary’s Church. Kokomo Time Band

IIn the twilight glow, their melodies rise, woven threads of laughter, heartbeats in sync, each note a whisper of sun-soaked summers, Kokomo Time Band, a pulse in the air. Guitar strings shimmer like stars on water, voices soar, a tapestry of stories shared, they paint our nights with colors unbound, every chord a journey, every song a home. Dance floors alive, feet tracing dreams, rhythms echo through the gentle dusk, lost in the sound, we find ourselves, in the warmth of their harmonies, we awaken. Time bends, moments stretch like golden rays, the best band ever, a heartbeat in the night, Kokomo Time Band, where memories linger, in every strum, a promise of forever.

On the third Wednesday of every month, the Eden United Methodist Church opens its doors for a Respite Program for Caregivers of loved ones with dementia. This month, the theme was "Don't Get Your Tinsel in a Tangle," focusing on the joys and blessings of the holiday season. The December meeting was particularly special, featuring a performance by the Appalachian Mountain Players. Their beautiful dulcimer renditions of classic Christmas songs brought warmth and cheer to all attendees. The music provided a soothing backdrop as caregivers shared their experiences and supported one another. Over 30 volunteers were involved in planning and delivering this month's program, which included a spectacular holiday-inspired lunch and desserts, featuring delightful gingerbread men. Santa made a visit to help brighten everyone's afternoon. Activities included making a decoration that guests could take home and hang on their tree, a stimulating game of bingo where everyone left a winner, and a sing-along that left everyone in the Christmas spirit.

Christmas with my family near,

A time of love, and of cheer.

The tree glows with twinkling lights, We gather around the fireplace on snowy nights.

The scent of pine, the warmth of home, Together, we are never alone.

Handheld clothes, we say a prayer

For all those we love and all those we care.

In these moments, pure and true Christmas shines with all we do.

Through every season, far and wide, The love of family will always guide.

Proclamation Presentation Honoring Eden Garden Study Club

Kindness Club crew took this job very seriously and took their time painting the rocks so beautifully. Someone's day will definitely be brighter if they happen to find one of these!

At the December 11, 2024 Eden Town board meeting, members of the Eden Garden Study Club received recognition for 90 years of community involvement and educational enrichment. The Eden Town Board proclaimed the week of December 8th - 14th, 2024, as Eden Garden Study Club Appreciation Week. Among the club’s many projects are town beautification plantings in conjunction with the Eden Growers Association, the landscape and design for the Blue Star memorial marker and maintenance of the Chamber Park. Also included is Eden Heights garden therapy program, and planting and maintaining the Eden Welcome signs. Most recently, in October, the club celebrated its 90th anniversary, by hosting an award winning standard flower show, “Cheers to 90 Years.” This two day event was free and open to the public.

A THOUGHT TO REMEMBER…

“I think that, regardless of our culture, age, or even personal handicaps, we can still strive for something exceptional. Why not expand our sights instead of restricting our lives and accepting the lowest common denominator of a dormant existence? Faith.... will permit us to take a chance on a new path, perhaps different from the one we now follow. It may be surprising where it leads.”

-- Jimmy Carter

As our nation bids farewell to its 39th president this week, these humble words of his encourage us all to reset our personal boundaries. Don’t set your sights too low. Have courage that you can accomplish much in your life that you might not have dreamed of even trying.

The best path in your life might not be the straight one. Maybe you need to chose one that meanders a little, one that takes you on some adventures and introduces you to new people, places and activities. Jimmy Carter showed us all that, despite your age, you can continue to make a difference in other’s lives.
