The rain made the day very glum

Gray skies filled the town
As I walk, the leaves scatter around me
I would usually step on them to find the crunchiest
However, they are soaked
Except for one
There was one apparently dry leaf, staring at me
I stepped on it; slowly, the most beautiful crunch was emitted

The Eden Elementary librarian, Vanessa Zoll, creates new fun activities each month for the students to complete in Makerspace. In honor of Book 20, Partypooper of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, coming out on Oct. 21st students helped celebrate this milestone by designing a birthday candle for the big event. Using empty paper towel rolls, glue, paper, tissue paper, tape, pipe cleaners, and stickers the students designed a candle that required a "flame" and the number 20 on it. Your Community, Your News... Eden Respite Celebrates Fall

flavor and overall appearance
The Eden Respite Program celebrated the fall season on Wednesday October 15, 2025 at the Eden United Methodist Church. Watercolor painting, exercise with Kathy Green, bingo, and sing along with Dave Gawronski , were among the activities of the day. A special event for the celebration was an apple pie contest. Participants included 10 local organizations, who have contributed to the Respite program.
Winners were: honorable mention going to Eden Seafood, third place to Eden Garden Study Club, second place to John Roberts Salon, and first place to the Eden Community Foundation. There was more Apple-Umpkin at lunch time when cook Karen Kline served her creation of apple- pumpkin stew presented in baked fresh pie pumpkins.
The Eden Respite Program is designed to provide a four hour break for caregivers of individuals suffering from dementia. There is no charge to participate and meets the third Wednesday of every month.

COLORBOND® PAINT SYSTEM helps protect steel from UV exposure and various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, dust, rain, wind and hail. It helps to reduce peeling, chipping and cracking.
The finish coat also features solar-reflective ceramic pigments, which help conserve energy in homes and commercial buildings.
For over 50 years, COLORBOND® – developed by BlueScope Steel and leading paint companies – has undergone Australian research and development in some of the harshest weather conditions on the planet. In these regions, corrosive envi-ronments and high solar intensity can take a toll on painted products. With COLOR-BOND® pre-painted steel, surfaces offer superior resistance to corrosion, dirt retention, chalking and color fading and provide excellent gloss retention for lasting beauty.

“Hold fast to dreams for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.” – Langston Hughes
What do you dream of doing?
Where do you dream of going?
Who do you dream of being?
You might think of dreams as being the province of the young, but they are the stuff of life for each of us no matter what our age is. Our dreams inspire us, give us purpose, and help us gauge where we are on our life’s journey. Dreams give direction to each day.
You might choose to keep your dreams private or share them with those close to you, but never deny them. Our dreams reveal our inner self — the part of us where talents and needs mingle. You never know where a dream will take you.
