I Remember When

When the fireman were called out one day to search for a missing child or person, it took us up the hill from Sisson Hwy (Rt.39). While walking along I discovered an old road bed. I later found out it was the old bed of Schuster Road which begun at East Eden Rd. it used to end at Sisson Hwy, near the Haier Farm. Across from the end on the opposite side of road stood this old store building and bar. They say customers of Kromers would wait at the store while their grain was been processed. Some times the customer would spend to much money at the bar, and Kromer would not get paid. So Kromer bought the old building and turned it into a shed on his property. (see picture)

2024 Eden Summer Day Camp

Dates: July 1st through July 30th, Monday – Friday (except 4th of July)

Time: 8:45AM to 2:45PM

Campers: entering grades 1st through 10th.

Location: Eden Elementary School, 8289 N. Main ST.

Additional Location: Gorcica Park - East Eden Road, Eden

Note: Gorcica Camp will close for all field trips & events, campers encouraged to attend the Elementary location during those times

Early Registration: May 1st – June 14th

Resident Fee: $300 Non-resident Fee: $425 (registration fees will apply)

Registration: June 15th through July 5th

Resident Fee: $325 Non-resident Fee: $450 (registration fees will apply)

Early drop off is only for children attending summer day camp 7:15AM – 8:45AM

Lessons run from July 3rd through August 9th with time slots available between 8am- 1:30pm. (No Lessons on July 4th, additional dates may apply). Lessons are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for beginners (45-minute lessons) and Tuesday & Thursday for advanced swimmers (60-minute lessons).

Lesson times and dates to be determined after testing. Lessons are open to ages 5-16.
