Did you know that Eden had an Eclipse in the early 1920’s. Harry Richardson opened a Metal Shop in a building across, the street from the Kazoo Factory. It was called Eclipse Metal Manufacturing. His son Robert L. (Drag) Richardson took over the business and in 1932 he had invented the Portable Picnic Grill. He worked out a deal where he sold them through Ford Dealers. The building was destroyed by fire in 1951, and replaced with the building’s that are there today.

COLORBOND® PAINT SYSTEM helps protect steel from UV exposure and various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold, dust, rain, wind and hail. It helps to reduce peeling, chipping and cracking.
The finish coat also features solar-reflective ceramic pigments, which help conserve energy in homes and commercial buildings.
For over 50 years, COLORBOND® – developed by BlueScope Steel and leading paint companies – has undergone Australian research and development in some of the harshest weather conditions on the planet. In these regions, corrosive envi-ronments and high solar intensity can take a toll on painted products. With COLOR-BOND® pre-painted steel, surfaces offer superior resistance to corrosion, dirt retention, chalking and color fading and provide excellent gloss retention for lasting beauty.

Senator Gallivan Announces $1 Million State Grant For Graycliff Conservancy
Senator Patrick M. Gallivan (R-C, Elma) announces a $1 million Empire State Development (ESD) grant to support the expansion of the visitor center at the Graycliff summer estate on Lake Erie in Derby. A $250,000 ESD grant to support the project was announced in November 2023. The property, designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The funding is being awarded through the state’s Regional Economic Development Council Initiative, which supports projects that align with a community’s strategic goals.
“Graycliff is one of our region’s greatest architectural assets and the state’s investment will help attract more visitors to our area,” Senator Gallivan said. “I look forward to seeing this project move forward.”

What joy there is in spring! What beauty abounds in even the most ordinary of things! Clydesfeed.com
“Let us come alive to the splendor that is all around us, and see the beauty in ordinary things.” -- Thomas Merton
These are the days when magic is at work in the natural world! You think you have seen all that can possibly be fresh and green-- and then the next day reveals even more wonders. Color pops out to surprise us at every turn. There are new things to see everyday.
It is wonderful to be able to travel and see places famous for their natural wonders but, if you truly open your eyes, you can find that beauty on your own doorstep. It might even be right under your feet as you walk through fields or woods.
