Eden Family Dental has invested in two new pieces of equipment that we are excited to utilize for our patients.

Our doctors and assistant have been trained to use a digital scanner to view our patient's teeth in 3D. This is a no-radiation scanner and, in many cases, can eliminate the need to take goopy impressions of the mouth. This makes our appointments quicker and less risk of gagging during impressions.

These scans transmit within seconds to our in-house dental mill, which employs CAD-CAM (computer aided design and manufacturing) to fabricate ceramic crowns within 40 minutes. This allows our patients to be fitted with their permanent dental crown at one visit, rather than returning in 1-2 weeks or wearing a temporary crown.

Eden Family Dental is continuously looking for ways to improve the dental experience for our patients and to accommodate everyone's busy schedule.

Village of Farnham Mayor Jere Hoisington opened the Farnham Village Board meeting this past Tuesday April 18th, promptly at 7PM. The Mayor then invited Erie County Legislator John J. Mills to lead us all in the reciting of THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. Following the approval of the minutes of the March 2023 meeting, Mayor Hoisington then officially welcomed Legislator Mills and his Assistant Colleen Rogers to the meeting. It was to be a special evening. Three outstanding Farnham community members were to be presented with Proclamations prepared by Legislator Mills and his team. Two of the three individual honorees that evening were Marilyn and George Cordia. Legislator Mills first called upon Marilyn, and then her husband George, with each receiving their very own Proclamations - Marilyn in recognition of her dedication and devotion to the Farnham Ladies Auxiliary and George for his dedication and devotion to the Farnham Volunteer Fire Department. A total of one hundred and two (102) combined years of service are shared between this husbandand-wife team, both contributing their time, energy, and talents to the Farnham Fire Department and Auxiliary and thereby to the Village of Farnham and surrounding community as well. A sentence in each of their proclamations emphasize the fact that both George and Marilyn, as supreme examples of hard-working people, are the first to arrive and the last to leave the fire company sponsored events, with special mention of their efforts at the Memorial Day Chicken Barbeques held annually at the Farnham Fire Department. The Proclamations are a well-deserved recognition of two people who have had, and continue to have, a positive influence on our community.

George has held many positions during his tenure and currently serves as the Farnham Fire Department Secretary. Marilyn has been the Secretary of the Farnham Ladies Auxiliary for most (if not all) of her fifty-one (51) years of service. Legislator Mills is a member of the Erie County Legislature in New York, representing District 11.

In remembering the Eden Volunteer Fire Department, this being their 100th year, it comes to my mind in my pre teen years, the parade's with the Fireman's Band and marching men going down Main St., Eden, with High (Millard) Cole leading, and other town's following. Afterwards we visited the Carnival, a popular event in those days behind the old fire hall. I remember pitching pennies in a bowl floating in a tub of water, and winning a prize if you pitched into the bowl. Pictured here in Olean in Aug. of 1952 after winning first prize for appearance, are 40 Eden Fireman in their Cream and Purple Colored Uniforms

We gather with heavy hearts to remember the life of Brian J. Bush, a cherished resident of Holland, NY. On Friday, May 12th, 2023, at the age of 62, Brian peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by the love and support of his dear friend. Brian, a proud U.S. Army veteran, served his country with distinction at Fort Hood, Texas, including overseas deployments. His dedication and skill were recognized through numerous awards, earning him the distinction of an Expert in Rifle and Marksman. Brian’s military service exemplified his commitment to duty and demonstrated his unwavering patriotism. Throughout his professional life, Brian worked diligently as an inspector for Mullican Flooring. Renowned for his incredible work ethic, he left an indelible impression on his colleagues and was highly regarded for his attention to detail. Brian’s commitment to his craft was a testament to his character, as he consistently went above and beyond to ensure the quality and precision of his work Beyond his professional endeavors, Brian found solace and joy in the natural world. He deeply admired his land, often wandering its expanse with reverence and a love for the outdoors. Nature provided him with a sanctuary where he could immerse himself in its beauty and tranquility amidst the trees. Brian was a devoted son, caring for his elderly parents, Eldred J. Bush and Betty M. (Tiffany) Bush. He selflessly attended to their needs in their twilight years, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to family and love. His mother, Betty, joined her husband Bud in May 2022, preceded in death by Brian’s brother Jeffery. Brian is survived by his sister, Peggy (Mardy) Von Harten, and is remembered by his nieces and nephews. In accordance to Brian’s wishes, no formal service will be held. However, in his memory, the family kindly suggests making memorial contributions to the Hospice Foundation in Buffalo, NY. By supporting this compassionate organization, Brian’s legacy of care and kindness can continue to impact the lives of those in need. Today, as we say farewell to Brian, let us cherish the memories we shared, the laughter we experienced, and the lessons we learned from his remarkable life. Though he may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will forever reside in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace, his memory serving as a guiding light in our lives.

Marcia was a graduate from St. Bonaventure, Guidance Counselor at Bishop Timon, leader of Lawtons Progressor 4H Club, numerous 4H Clubs including the Erie County 4H.
