Asphalt roofs can require re-roofing every 12-20 years. An asphalt roof starts to break down as soon as it’s installed. Weather and ul-traviolet light break down the oil infused paper or fiberglass. A metal roof coated with AZM coating will significantly outlast asphalt roofing.
Nearly a dozen young adults are newly published authors after attending the teen writing club at the North Collins Public Library over the winter months. Their stories were recently bound and published in a single volume, The North Collins Pages, by Buffalo company Quality Bindery Services, Inc. Each participant received a copy of the book to keep. Other copies are now on the library's shelf and available for checkout. During their time learning to write and edit their stories, the teens were able to speak with bestselling author Ruta Sepetys in an Ask Me Anything virtual chat, as well as with editor Arthur A. Levine of Levine Querido. The group is currently on summer break, but will gather together again in the fall. New participants, aged 12 to 18, are welcome to join. The Eden Alumni Association is currently accepting applications for scholarships that will be awarded to Eden Senior High School graduating seniors who display exemplary character, motivation and have had an impact on his or her peers, school and community.
The Association will be awarding:
• six $3,000.00 scholarships to four year college applicants
• three $2,000.00 scholarships to two year college applicants
• three $1,500.00 scholarships to trade or technical school applicants
Students should contact the Eden guidance office for an application or download one from the Alumni Association website: www.edenalumni.org.
Submissions must be typed and and submitted to the Eden Guidance Department by May 5th.
The Eden Alumni Association has awarded over $200,000.00 in scholarships thanks to the generosity of Eden Alumni.
A Historical Visit
Members of the Evans Historical Society paid a visit to the Brant-Farnham Historical Society’s museum room on Monday April 15, 2024. The room is located in the Brant Town Hall. As you can see from their smiling faces, they were quite pleased with the treasures they found! The purpose of the visit was to find artifacts, photos and items that could possibly be used in the upcoming Erie County Fair Exhibit. To keep you in suspense, we won’t tell you what the intended display will be! Just know that it is a partnership between the two societies working together and trying their best to create a people pleasing, historically accurate, and attention-grabbing display. Let the project begin!!

Eden Family Dental has invested in two new pieces of equipment that we are excited to utilize for our patients.
Our doctors and assistant have been trained to use a digital scanner to view our patient's teeth in 3D. This is a no-radiation scanner and, in many cases, can eliminate the need to take goopy impressions of the mouth. This makes our appointments quicker and less risk of gagging during impressions.
These scans transmit within seconds to our in-house dental mill, which employs CAD-CAM (computer aided design and manufacturing) to fabricate ceramic crowns within 40 minutes. This allows our patients to be fitted with their permanent dental crown at one visit, rather than returning in 1-2 weeks or wearing a temporary crown.
Eden Family Dental is continuously looking for ways to improve the dental experience for our patients and to accommodate everyone's busy schedule.

Frederick Dunn, age 74, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2024. He was a resident in a SASI group home in Angola, NY from 2001-2024. Fred grew up in Wisconsin and moved to Eden in 1996 after his parents, Glenn and Hazel Dunn, passed. He lived with his sister Kathy Swank in Eden until 2001. While living in Eden, he attended the St. John's Community Church of Eden and helped the “Saturday morning boys” clean and maintain the church. Fred is survived by his sister Kathy Swank of Eden and brother Marvin Dunn of Portland, OR. Keep
