This opportunity was the first time the membership could interact directly with the individuals residing at the facility since February 2020. Initially the group entertained the residents in the dining room with a variety of holiday carols. They wore festive headwear and jingled bells to accompany the music. The residents enjoyed singing along with the youth. Following the Christmas carols members distributed holiday packages created by the club members who attended the group’s Holiday Party on December 4th. In each decorated gift bag was a stuffed animal, puzzle book, toiletries, along with a homemade holiday card. Attached to each gift bag was a Buffalo Bills ornament created by the young people. After waving good – by to the residents, the youth proceeded outdoors. On the shepherd’s hooks surrounding the facility, the members hung Bird Seed Wreaths, as well as Recycled Bottle Bird Feeders made by the youth at their Holiday Party. The birds and squirrels that frequent the area will now enjoy nourishment and provide entertainment to all those who live and work at the facility. The young people who participated in this community service project thoroughly enjoyed themselves and can’t wait to return.

Steven Woods had 3 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. The rest of the team played great defense. With this victory your Eagles have secured the third seed in Class D.
Most holy Apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases, of things despaired of. Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Make use I implore you of that particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help, where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolation and help of Heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings and that I may prasie God with you and all the elect forever. I promise. O blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you. Amen. P.S.

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” -- John Quincy Adams
The sixth president of the U.S., John Quincy Adams spent most of his life in service to his country and managed to pay off much of the national debt in his single term in office. Although not re-elected to the presidency, he continued to serve his nation as a member of the House of Representatives for nearly 20 years after his presidency.
As we celebrate the lives of all our presidents next week these words of his are significant. There are presidents who have slipped into obscurity, but there are others whose actions have continued to inspire new generations of Americans long after their deaths.
Motivating people to go above and beyond what they believe they can do is the mark of a true leader. And we are nothing as a nation without that source of inspiration.
