Eden Family Dental has broken ground on our expansion project. You will notice lots of heavy equipment in the next few months as we add nearly 2,000 sq of space to our dental building. It will include a ground-level handicap accessible door and bathroom, and three additional treatment rooms.
Please excuse our mess and would appreciate your patience while we re-work the schedule to allow for this construction to continue. We anticipate completion by early summer of 2025!

Oh, most beautiful flower of Mt. Carmel, fruitful vine, splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. Oh Star of the Sea, help me and show me where you are, my Mother. Oh Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succor me in my necessity (make request). There are none that can withstand your power. Oh Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee (three times). Say this prayer for three consecutive days. You must publish it, and your request will be granted.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved brother, Donald (Donny) Raymond Strawbrich, 65, of Eden NY, on December 5, 2024. Born on February17,1959. He was predeceased by our parents, Robert D. Strawbrich and Diane M, Strawbrich (Rice). He is survived by his siblings: Robert Strawbrich, Jill Woods (late Michael Woods), William Strawbrich, Robin Strawbrich, Grettle Hesson (Howard), Christopher Strawbrich (Stacey), Jonathon Strawbrich (Jackie) and Autumn Kibler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Our brother, Donny, was a proud, sensitive, kind, generous and creative man. Whoever crossed in his path, you knew you were touched by a heart of gold. Quick with a lending hand, a story to share, and his quirky sense of humor. When life gave him punches with his health instead of falling, he rose and faced the battle with dignity. He, as we all are forever grateful for the gift of many more years of life through his donor transplants. Your eyes are bright now Donny, looking down and watching over us all till we see you again. We will keep an eye out for Larry and his friends and think of you and know you are near. Till we are together again. Services will be held privately.Words of sympathy may be left on www.LaingFuneralhome.com
Local churches and schools have come together to support the Eden-North Collins Food Pantry by conducting several large food drives within the past few weeks. Epiphany of Our Lord Church collected frozen turkeys and 378 lbs. of food; St.Mary’s Oratory - 100 lbs.; North Collins Elementary School - 894 lbs.; Eden GLP Primary School - 69 lbs.; Eden Middle School/High School - 265 lbs.; and Lucy Heffernan, a junior at Eden High School, collected 619 lbs. in her Eden neighborhood. This is Lucy’s 5th annual food drive.
The students in Eden GLP and Elementary Schools also decorated paper bags for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays to be filled and handed out to clients at the Pantry. In November, 5,337 meals were provided to 593 individuals coming to the Pantry. These food drives go a long way in helping to supplement the amount of food the Pantry gets from FeedMore WNY especially as the amount of families needing assistance continues to increase. The Pantry is open every Wednesday from 1 - 5 pm except on Christmas and New Year’s. Those weeks, the Pantry

As part of their November respite program organizers took the opportunity to celebrate the volunteers that make their program so special. “For almost 10 years we have been offering those caring for loved ones with Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease a greatly needed break from the pressure of constant care.” Says Kevin Karstedt the Eden program’s coordinator. “We do it with the unrelenting dedication of the many volunteers that make this program so successful. This month we took the opportunity to thank them for that dedication.” While all volunteers were recognized a spotlight was shown on David Gawronski who is one of the longtime musical contributors to the program. Caregivers using the respite program feel confident leaving their loved ones with a team of qualified and dedicated volunteers that provide companionship and love, on the third Wednesday of every month. “I am so proud of what our program offers and of the many volunteers that have made this program so successful.” Continues Karstedt. “Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”
--Edith Sitwell
Technically, it won’t be winter for another week or so. But last week’s heavy snowfall was a reminder what is to come. Do you have “winter” projects-- things that will take longer than you want to devote to during the warm weather? Do you have a box of photos to organize? recipes to clip? tax files to sort through? a stack of books you’ve been meaning to read? Now’s the time to start! What would we do without these wonderful months of winter?! The days are short on sunlight, but the long nights provide excellent hours to work on projects we’ve put off.... or to get extra things done for the holidays. Now is definitely “the time for home.”
