Rural Transit Brings New Vehicle to Service
On November 20, 2024, Rural Transit Service volunteer Paul Smith, Executive Director Suni Stachura, Volunteer Coordinator Sharon Stewart, and Town of Boston Supervisor Jason Keding gathered to introduce the new Rural Transit Service vehicle which will service residents of Boston, Eden, and Colden. Transportation has become a genuine problem for many citizens in Erie County. As families move away, and independence becomes a greater challenge for seniors along with increasing transportation costs the need for Rural Transit Service arises. Rural Transit Service allows independence, companionship, and security to our riders. Rural Transit Service is a non-profit transportation service for the seniors, disabled and low/moderate income residents of rural Erie County. Transportation is provided for medical appointments, grocery shopping, banking, and personal business trips, etc. with medical taking priority. Client registration is as simple as a phone call to your local dispatch site or visit our website at www.ruraltransitservice.org.

Eden Conservation Board held 21st Annual Bluebird Nesting Box Workshop
Saturday November 16, 2024, the Eden Conservation Board held the 21st annual bluebird nesting box workshop at the Eden Town Hall. There were 25 adults and 15 children in attendance. Helping to run the event were conservation board members President Lamont Beers, Mary Jane Bolo, Judy Stribich, Allan Silver, and Joanne Dobler. 44 nesting boxes were completed. Participants were encouraged to put up their boxes as soon as

By April 29 there will be 5 blue eggs laid, usually one a day for 5 days. By May 18, the young will hatch.

Mark W. Gabel
Being anksgiving, there is a lot to be thankful for. What we have found is a small group of women that graduated from Eden a while ago who gave us a beautiful gi of warmth and money. ey chose to remain anonymous and what they did meant so much to us.
Mark W. Gabel of Lawtons, NY entered into rest Nov. 19, 2024 at the age of 58 years. Loving father of Justin, Jessie, Amber, Cole, Brett and Brycen Gabel. Grandfather of Carson Bickel. Son of William and Patricia (Holocinski) Gabel. Brother of Christa (Rob) Erdman, Kyle (Jen) Gabel and the late Darrin Gabel. Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Wentland Funeral Home 10634 Main St. (rt. 62) North Collins. Mark devoted his life to his kids and enjoyed watching them in all their accomplishments. He was an active member of the family dairy farm where he was an accomplished herdsman along with various other things on the farm. Not only did he love watching his kids in sports, but was very active in tractor pulling. He was one of the founding members of WNY Pro Pulling Series and he was also the first and longest running President of the club. In recent years, he pulled with Full Pull Productions USA East.

Most holy Apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases, of things despaired of. Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone. Make use I implore you of that particular privilege given to you, to bring visible and speedy help, where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolation and help of Heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings and that I may prasie God with you and all the elect forever.
