ANNUAL REPORT FISCAL YEAR 2022-23

“…onward, upwards, outwards.

Ascension to a higher dimension…”

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER, CEO, CHAIRMAN

“…Ladies & Gentlemen, distinguished readers, family and friends. Our second annual fiscal year of operations (FY 2022-23) was filled with foundational solidified and pending partnerships, networking events, funding competitions, we added three Advisory Board of Directors, and the evolution of our business model.

Some of our partnerships include Amazon AWS, Google For Nonprofits, Microsoft For Nonprofits, LOT Network, Monday.com, Jotform, Marquis Who’s Who in America, among others. We have also begun the R&D of our new product: Well Fair Capital. We have also begun the R&D of our for-profit entity: BioFam Services…”

ABOUT“…we connect biological families by strengthening bond and remembrance through website and mobile app connection, making it easier for adopted children to learn about their biological roots through continuous observations from a safe distance…”

There are two principles A Diamond in the Dirt Foundation (ADia) focuses on, these being:

• To connect families, friends, people, giving back to the issues which plague peace, love, and success.

• Making it easier for adopted children to learn about their biological roots through continuous observations from a safe distance on a cellular app or website.

INTRODUCTION

OUR VISION

Problem

Problem 1: the adoption process when filling out legal documentation, is still paper-based with handwritten data. The pandemic created massive backlog.

Solution 1: digitizing the legal documentation process in innovative ways.

Problem

Problem 2: the adoption process can be quite confusing, which may deter prospective adoptive parents from adopting. In addition to the legal documentation process being expensive, strenuous, and long.

Solution 2: creating a Virtual Adoption Attorney (VAA) that can walk prospective adoptive parents through processes, answer questions through interactive means, etc.

Problem

Problem 3: Adopted children, once they become of legal consented age to establish contact with their biological family, must go through the same adoption agency used to complete the initial adoption.

Solution 3: creating a universal Adoption Database powered by artificial intelligence (AI) & machine learning (ML).

INTRODUCTION

OUR VISION (continued)

Problem

Problem 4: a lack of relationship building in the adoption community.

Solution 4: creating a Pen-Pal, Big Brother/Sister, counselling platform for older people adopted or associated with adoption first-hand to be a voice of reason with younger children and younger adoptive parents.

Problem

Problem 5: a long and expensive process for private agency and independent adoptions.

Solution 5: leaning the entire adoption process, making it easier and less expensive, in order to court more prospective couples or single parents looking to adopt with less means and less time.

A Career Development Ecosystem for Welfare Youths

WELL FAIR Capital

“…aims to improve the wellness of welfare youth by making their career opportunities fair through development of their human capital...”

Well & Fair Human Capital

For the Welfare Community

Well Fair Capital aims to provide developmental care for disadvantaged welfare youths to improve their wellness and to make things fair by developing their human capital. The online and mobile ecosystem provides professional development programs and networking relationship mentors to even out their oddities and shortcomings that their biological parents left them to overcome by bridging the gap.

Imagine the professional ecosystem of LinkedIn with the personal networking ecosystem of Facebook. Disadvantaged youths will be able to create and draft their account profile, ask for professional development advice that align with their long-term goals, seek mentors, attend events (in-person or virtually), search for certifications/memberships, and search for paid internships and job openings that align with their short-term goals.

THEORY of CHANGE (ToC)

This narrative explains our general Theory of Change (ToC), to which we plan to implement into the current adoption process. With the growing number of adoptions throughout the world confined to an old-fashioned system, revised change can improve these rusty ways. These ways, not broken, but merely have room for improvement through technology and medical means.

Theory of Change 1 – Problem: once the adoptive child exceeds past the legal age [18 in most states] allowing for communication between said-child and the biological family, both parties need to go through the same adoption agency which conducted and finalized the initial adoption.

ToC 1 - Resolution: creating an online website and mobile app-based adoption agency database for the collection of all adoption agencies which carried out all adoptions to make it easier for retrieval upon a later date.

Theory of Change 2 – Problem: there are areas in the world in which some countries restrict certain types of potential adoptive parents from adopting from that country. This is called a Hague Convention ideology. Some of these countries include China and the Dominican Republic of Congo, where some rules include restrictions against LGBT couples and restrictions on the age of the child and the amount of children already present in the household, etc.

ToC 2 - Resolution: investigate potential law procedures and adoption law reform policies which can create positive change throughout the adoption landscape itself. Why should a foster care child looking for a loving family environment suffer due to unrelated, preconditioned parameters?

SECTION 5 | KEY PROGRAMS – Theory & Policy

THEORY of CHANGE (ToC)

This narrative explains our general Theory of Change (ToC), to which we plan to implement into the current adoption process. With the growing amount of adoptions throughout the world confined to an old-fashioned system, revised change can improve these rusty ways. These ways, not broken, but merely have room for improvement through technology and medical means.

Theory of Change 3 – Problem: genetics are not passed down and carried on from the adoptive parents into and continued with the adoptive child. This closure of genetic, hereditary biology presents a problem and potential solution.

ToC 3 - Resolution: Dr. Emmanuelle Charpentier, who I am connected with on LinkedIn, and Dr. Jennifer Doudna developed a computer software called CRISPR. CRISPR is an acronym for clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats. Dr. Charpentier and Dr. Doudna both won the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry award for their CRISPR software creation and development. CRISPR allows for scientists, and even common civilians although I do not advocate for civilian use, allows for gene editing. Gene editing may be the key in consensual gene editing between the adoptive parents and adoptive young adult and/or children once the child reaches legal age of consent. This consent focuses on research and development investigations and clinical trials into using CRISPR to pass certain hereditary genes from the adoptive parents into the adoptive young adult. This is an extremely delicate focal point the foundation may receive permission to pursue with an R&D scientific research team commissioned or in partnership with an outside entity as to deem the foundation non-liable under New York State non-profit law as a non-medical foundation [as long as no foundation employee conducts the experiments themselves]. Although we are not certain this will have enough interest to change any legal restrictions permitting such empirically medical investigations, we are proposing theoretical cause for consideration with a growing amount of genetic specialists in contact with our Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Eric D. Becker.

SECTION 5 | KEY PROGRAMS – Theory & Policy

AREAS of FOCUS (AoF)

This narrative explains our general Areas of Focus (AoF), to which we not only plan to implement into the current adoption process but also into a philanthropic whole on a technology-based platform. These AoF’s are adoptions, counseling, e-learning, philanthropy, and potentially scientific innovation.

The

Five D’s D: discover D: draft D: design D: document D: dependency

The website and mobile app features allow for an adoptive child to young adult to use these platforms to discover, draft, design, and document their biological family tree and adoptive family tree as a dependency. The mobile app, especially, can be used as a quick handheld reference to brief, remember, and/or memorize various family members, such as a quick perusal before that extended family party once every six years, as an example.

This website and mobile app also presents another great precedent for use. Principal of Cybertone, Inc., Alex Smirnov, pushed these idea further by suggesting how the website and mobile app, that they are interested to develop, can be used for widespread, viral use. The solution was that the website but more specifically the mobile app is geared for adoptions but it is not tailor made for only users who share adoption as a commonality. These technology platforms can also be used by anyone who has a large extended family tree and is in need of a platform to review and revise family members with rapidity and simplistic ease.

HOW WE WORK

A Diamond in the Dirt Foundation (DiaDirt) is strategically selective and focused, working expressly in the technology, civil work, and philanthropy sectors. We concentrate on two areas of the sector’s decision chain: connecting families and adoption counseling.

“…if you are adopted, you are not a mistake. You are a first-round draft pick…”

Our foundation is a breeding ground for those connected to one another through a rare but cherished commonality: adoption. The foundation’s faculty and staff will have remote online counseling professionals designated to psychologically assist those who are adopted and are having a difficult time coping with the various additional stress our society may subject these adopted children to. Remote chatrooms and discussion boards for our Big Brother and Big Sister mentorship program. This program allows younger adopted children to confide in younger to older adults who were either adopted themselves, who is directly associated with someone who was adopted, and/or is someone else who may not have been adopted but takes care in helping those who are.

This bypasses having to have these two parties work in the same company in order to make the connection. No, instead both parties can search out each professional allowing for young professionals to find a mentor and a mentor to find young talent to groom and mold, in the hopes of offering a hire in the near to far future.
