Sortie à Strawberry Hill

On February 10th, our whole year went to Strawberry Hill House. After taking the coach for about an hour, we finally arrived at this mysterious gothic castle. We had to wait a couple minutes before we could start doing the different activities Our class (6e2), began with creating Gothic comic strips We were able to use costumes and cool backgrounds that were in the castle Each group created a story that we later presented to the class

After making the comics, we moved on to a class conversation with one of the organisers of the visit We talked about what Gothic really is, if it's more dark or bloody Then, our class visited the interesting Gothic castle It was a live visit with actors playing characters in the story of how Horace Walpole* built the building. The different settings were very unique but, in my opinion, the live visit was more a funny experience than a scary one. It was still very original and a great effort from the organisers! I really liked this field trip and I hope we’ll have more in the year!
