Eagle Harbor

Your pet(s) and what you should know about Animal Control

Eagle Harbor loves its pets! Beautiful dogs are everywhere and many of us spend a great deal of money on their care and comfort. We indulge them with grooming sessions, vet care and maybe a fenced yard or even an electric fence. Although we love our dogs, not everyone feels the same way. Eagle Harbor covenants Article V, Section 8 states: “No pet shall be allowed to run at large”. Please remember that as the weather gets nicer many of our children are now playing outside and letting your dog run loose can become hazardous. Clay county enforces leash laws and loose dogs are subject to “collection” by Animal Control. If we all do our part as responsible dog owners, we can keep Eagle Harbor a safe and enjoyable neighborhood for everyone.

When to call Animal Control:

1. To remove stray and/or nuisance animals from streets and public areas

2. To report a bite or aggressive pet behavior

3. To report a deceased animal on a state road

Also remember, the following Clay county Animal Control Regulations:

4. ï Dogs must be contained and not allowed to run at large

5. ï Cat s may roam at will, however, may not become a nuisance

6. ï Current rabies tag must be attached to your pet’s collar, and worn by the animal at all times

7. ï Evidence of vaccination shall consist of Rabies Vaccination and License Certificate signed by the veterinarian administering the vaccination
