TO E-ACT PARKWOOD ACADEMY WELCOME
At E-ACT Parkwood Academy we have a shared vision of Everyone Exceptional Everyday. We create a culture of ‘Family’ where everyone can achieve individual and joint success.
We believe our school is a child’s second home, where we prioritise safety and happiness. OFSTED recognised this in our most recent inspection, stating how our students feel safe and well looked after, and highlighting the wide range of enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities available to all students.
At the heart of everything we do are our core values, referred to as ‘ARCH’ - Ambition I Respect I Collaboration I Honesty. These values are integral to every student’s positive experience at Parkwood. The values are supported by our academy expectations ‘CERT’ - Cooperation I Engagement I Resilience I Tolerance that support and challenge students to be the best version of themselves.
We identify as a family at Parkwood, personifying our E-ACT value of ‘Showing team spirit’. Our committed staff foster a thirst for learning whilst ensuring a nurturing approach to accelerate every child’s educational journey. It gives us great pride to have a culture which promotes a sense of belonging, through positive relationships and inclusion.
The best way to experience this is to come and see it for yourself. We would be privileged to provide you with a personal tour, where you can see our academy in action and all it has to offer! To book your tour, contact us or visit our website. I look forward to welcoming you to our family.

Our students are at the centre of everything we do. We encourage our students to voice their opinions which teaches them important skills such as debating, leadership and teamwork.
I enjoy all the fantastic facilities the school offers and there are so many chances for pupils to develop, for example, I couldn’t speak English before I arrived at Parkwood and now, I can speak fluently!

Not only do we focus on academic excellence, we also work with different associations to help develop particular skillsets for each and every student.

South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue offer a number of safety education programmes to help increase the awareness of the risks of fire. The sessions also provide an opportunity to educate the students about the role of the fire service and the dangers of arson, hoax calls, road safety and reckless driving.

Sheffield Wednesday FC Community Programme is the football club’s charity, established in order to support the wider Sheffield community. They work with schools and young people to help promote physical activity and positive mental health.
HeppSY is a partnership with Sheffield Hallam University, the University of Sheffield, and South Yorkshire colleges and target schools. They work to ensure that students have access to the information and advice they need to make positive career decisions.
Lockerbrook Farm Outdoor Centre allows 38 guests to take part in a fully supported programme of instructor-led activities including orienteering, team challenges and caving exploration.
