TRUST, ENDURANCE, AUTONOMY, MASTERY

WELCOME

TO THE OLDHAM ACADEMY NORTH

As the headteacher, I firmly believe that education is the greatest lever in ensuring we are giving young people choices and the opportunity to carve their own future, regardless of background, race or gender.

E-ACT The Oldham Academy North is an ambitious academy with the drive and motivation to ensure all our students are successful. We put our core values at the centre of everything we do.

Ensuring that all students are doing well in their academic studies whilst developing strong and responsible character involves absolute commitment from every member of the team including staff, students and parents.

Every student deserves the best and I will ensure that, at TOAN, every student has the support, guidance and challenge they need to flourish.

If you would like a tour of the academy during a school day, feel free to get in touch.

OUR E-ACT FAMILY

We are proud to be one of 28 E-ACT academies in England.

Our community includes over 18,000 pupils and 2,300 teachers and non-teaching professionals across the country.

As an E-ACT academy we share ideas with other academies in the trust in ways other schools may not be able to. Our pupils and staff also feel part of something much bigger.

We have a great partnership with our family academy E-ACT Royton and Crompton Academy who are a short distance away.

We are proud to work with different associations to help develop our students personal skills and experiences. We value learning outside the curriculum, through educational visits and our co-curriculum clubs.

The Manchester United Foundation offer our students opportunities to visit events and football stadiums. They also host workshops where students focus on their personal development.

We give the students the opportunity to begin their Duke of Edinburgh journey by offering the bronze level award. This allows students to learn vital skills such as navigating with a map.

We work closely with The Oldham Athletic Community Trust as we share our sports facilities with them. Together we host tournaments, summer school and workshops for our students.

BUILD CHARACTER AND BROADEN HORIZONS

At E-ACT The Oldham Academy North, all staff demonstrate high levels of vigilance, visibility and warmth, providing high levels of support ensuring every student can be successful. E-ACT The Oldham Academy North understands its role in developing young people who can make a lifelong positive contribution to the communities in which they live and work, and for this reason we all have an essential part to play in modelling, encouraging and supporting good behaviour.
