ow much you’ll pay to sell your home depends on a number of factors. The time of year, the age of the home, the condition of the home and the real estate agent will all play an important part in determining the cost of selling your home. Some expenses are negotiable, while others fluctuate with the market.

If you’re planning on selling, it’s crucial to factor these costs into the equation.

Realtor’s Commission

About 5% to 6% of sale price An agent’s commission will normally be the largest fee to pay. Agents work hard to market a home with open houses and showings, as well as answering emails and phone calls from potential buyers. Traditionally, the commission is split between the seller’s agent and the buyer’s agent, and in most cases, the seller bears this cost. savings tip: You may be able to negotiate a lower
