Hosted at the beautiful Goodwood Estate in West Sussex, the Dukes Club Charity Golf day is a wonderful event bringing together golfers and supporters from across the Dukes Education family, all while raising money for a worthy cause.
Golf at Goodwood dates back more than a 100 years. Designed in 1914 by designer of Gleneagles and Carnoustie, James Braid, the Downs is renowned for its immaculate condition and challenging layout.
Today the course retains essential character of Braid’s concept while providing a challenge for the modern game.
Fast-running fairways, undulating greens and dramatic changes of elevation in the downland valleys and hills which are both a treat and a challenge to true golf fans.

The day will include:
18 holes of on the ‘top 100’ Downs Course Teams of 4 play Stableford best 2 scoring
Breakfast on arrival
2 course lunch
Private area hospitality
– A Stableford ‘best 2 scores’ format will see teams of 4 taking on the fairways, open downland and reaching sea views
– Beat James Braid: A beat the pro competition with a Goodwood twist. The course pro dresses as the Downs Course designer from 1914 and uses hickory golf clubs from the era
– Flop Shot Challenge: A fun chip shot challenge on the first tee
– Nearest the Pin competition

The day is for the whole family, so while our golfers are teeing off, you can take advantage of other adventures across the estate.
Additional extras include PGA coaching and challenges for under 18s, an exhilarating loop round the motor racetrack, scenic aerodrome flights, or a pampering trip to the spa.
To make the most of the long weekend, accommodation is available on the estate at the Goodwood Hotel.
Our charity auction will open online in the week before to allow everyone to take part. On the day our rousing auction kicks off after a 2-course lunch with a range of great experiences and memorabilia to bid on.
All funds raised go to the Dukes Foundation which has chosen to support on the day:
Place2Be, a children’s mental health charity providing mental health support in schools through one-to-one and group counselling
The Ruth Strauss Foundation who support families facing the death of a parent from non-smoking lung cancers
The British Asian Trust who are tackling widespread poverty, inequality, and injustice in South Asia
