We are delighted to announce that following our routine Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspection during the Autumn term 2025, Hampton Court House has been judged fully compliant in all areas.

Across three days, inspectors undertook a thorough and thoughtful evaluation of our school. Their visit encompassed lesson observations, assemblies and co-curricular activities, conversations with students and staff, a review of students’ work, and surveys of parents, students and colleagues. They spoke warmly of our leadership, our rich and ambitious curriculum, the strength of our community, the quality of relationships across the school, our inclusive ethos, students’ preparation for life beyond HCH, and our steadfast commitment to wellbeing.

We are immensely proud that our students, staff and wider community conveyed so clearly the spirit of Hampton Court House. It was heartening to hear inspectors affirm that children are firmly at the centre of all we do, recognising that the school “successfully promotes a holistic and inclusive educational philosophy where students are known and nurtured as individuals, transitioning smoothly and happily from the early years through to the sixth form”.

This report represents the very best outcome and serves as external confirmation of what we already know to be true about Hampton Court House. It reflects our dedication to providing an education that extends well beyond the academic, offering a broad, balanced and enriching experience - underpinned by the professionalism and passion of our exceptional staff.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the entire community for the warmth and positivity with which you engaged in the inspection process. Our students and staff expressed their pride in HCH with confidence and sincerity, and this shone through every interaction.

MET IN ALL CATEGORIES

In September 2023, ISI inspection framework changed. Schools no longer receive a graded outcome, and are simply now meeting Standards or not. We are thrilled that across the board, HCH met all Standards.

Standards related to leadership and management and governance were met

Standards related to the quality of education, training and recreation were met

Standards related to pupils’ physical and mental health and emotional wellbeing were met

Standards related to pupils’ social and economic education and contribution to society were met

Standards related to safeguarding were met.

Section 1: Leadership and Management, Governance

Section 2: Quality of Education, Training and Recreation

The oldest pupils in Year 11 and Year 13 achieve a range of qualifications Many attain very high standards They move onto highly appropriate next-step destinations in education, training and employment.

Teachers adapt learning to provide precise and individual support in lessons and through additional intervention, when needed They encourage pupils, including the oldest pupils in the sixth form, to apply their learning in more complex ways and with increasing independence They often provide pupils with specific guidance and feedback about how to improve their work

There are ample opportunities for outdoor learning for children in the early years and for pupils in the junior school.

Safeguarding

Leaders with responsibility for safeguarding have a thorough knowledge of current statutory guidance and requirements They are very well trained

Leaders collaborate and co-ordinate their work effectively and their knowledge of pupils supports the effective safeguarding culture which they promote.

Safeguarding training for staff is thorough, frequent and begins with their induction

Staff have a secure knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies, as well as appropriate understanding of statutory government guidance.

Effective and collaborative relationships are maintained with external agencies

Pupils learn how to keep themselves safe, including online, through the PSHE curriculum and assemblies.

Pupils know the range of ways in which they can report concerns, and often choose to talk to staff directly, knowing that they will be listened to and that actions will be taken
