Viscometer Control module – USER MANUAL
Start-up of the Viscometer Control Module Ensure that the check list has been completed before start-up
To start the Viscometer Control Module:
1. The module is connected to a power source 2. The module is connected to the PC 3. Turn on the ON/OFF switch located on the LHS of the module 4. Turn on the (external) vacuum source
On power up: •
The LED on light will be Green
Validation on Start Up The Viscometer Control Module can be validated via the RPV software using the Engineer Screen.
Switching valves on and off individually can produce dangerous results.
Each valve can be clicked on or off to check that it is working. Clicking a single valve on/off should not create a dangerous situation as long as ALL other valves/pumps are turned OFF. When you energise a valve you should be able to hear it click. This will indicate that the valve is working and is not blocked. A full description of the valve and pump operations are set out in the RPV user/software manual.
