They provide us with places to gather with friends, family, and colleagues, and are drivers of economic activity in their communities. From small, everyday establishments to more formal venues for special events, restaurants attract people from the community and beyond, contributing greatly to the overall feel and ambience of a neighborhood, while creating foot traffic and gatherings that are the very fabric of New York City.
