The Performing Arts Program at Ecole Jean-Jacques Rousseau
Dr. Hind Louali holds an international medical doctorate. After coming to the United States, Dr. Hind Louali launched herself into the field of education when she established Ecole Jean-Jacques Rousseau in 2005.
Also known as the French School of Austin, Ecole Jean-Jacques Rousseau provides education in French and English with an emphasis on rigorous academics and cultural diversity. The school’s mandatory French performing arts program plays a crucial role in helping students achieve fluency in French while learning about France’s culture.
All instruction for the performing arts program takes place in French. Students must participate in the music section of the program and perform twice each year. They can also engage in the theater section, with its opportunities for developing skills such as self-discipline and confidence. Throughout the program, students experience great works of French art in fields ranging from literature to dance and music.
