he first Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf (PMGG) was not only the beginning of what is now a much anticipated annual event, but also the catalyst to design other notable events that celebrate golf, spirits and cuisine. The galas, particularly the PMGG, have grown from attracting modest audiences of golfers, gourmands, residents and visitors to sell-out extravaganzas. Placing participants close to the action with international master chefs and champion professional golfers is an adrenaline rush for some and a sense of being part of an extraordinary happening for others. “From the inception in 2011 of the PMGG, our signature golf and gastronomy event, Punta Mita continues to offer participants memorable moments while new creations such as Masters of Food, Wine & Golf, Punta Mita Invitational Pro-Am, The Pacific Cup Series, and Punta Mita Charity Golf Classic amongst others add to a variety of offerings and enriching experiences for all,” shared Carl Emberson, Director of Marketing & Operations at Punta Mita. Gala participants are afforded the opportunity to interact and communicate with people from other places and cultures. Integration into a worldwide community is facilitated, not divided by literal or figurative borders. Nelson Mandela said, “Sport has the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does.” In addition to sports, it is evident that food has the power to unite when world-class chefs are given the opportunity to interact, share, inspire and create. The camaraderie fostered at these unique events combined with the magic of Punta Mita make for unparalleled experiences. While the Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf (PMGG) continues to offer participants memorable moments, newly created programs as the Punta Mita Invitational (PMI), Masters of Food, Wine & Golf, The Pacific Cup Series Punta Mita Charity Golf Classic have been introduced to expand the breadth, depth and variety of unique events offered.

El primer Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf (PMGG) no fue solo el comienzo de lo que ahora es un evento anual muy esperado, sino que también fue el catalizador para diseñar otros eventos que celebran el golf y la gastronomía. Las galas, particularmente el PMGG, han crecido desde atraer a audiencias modestas de golfistas, gourmands, residentes y visitantes, hasta convertirse en eventos sold-out.
