“You know what I loved the most? I didn’t have to stress about anything. From the moment we got there, it felt like everything just flowed. The first morning, the kids went straight to the beach while I sipped my coffee listening to the waves. In the afternoons, they were off at Kiddou workshops, my husband got to play as much golf as he wanted, and somehow, we’d all come back together at just the right time. We even made it to the pickleball courts for a match with a family we met at one of the beach clubs. One night we dressed up for Halloween Karaoke on the beach — that was exciting. Another day, we had dinner by the sea at sunset — that was magical. The kids learned about Día de Muertos at the altar ceremony… that was so meaningful. “¿Sabes qué fue lo que más me gustó? Que no tuve que preocuparme por nada. Desde que llegamos, todo fluyó. La primera mañana, los niños corrieron directo a la playa mientras yo tomaba mi café y escuchaba las olas. Por las tardes, se iban a los talleres de Kiddou, mi esposo pudo jugar al golf todo lo que quiso, y de alguna manera, siempre nos reuníamos en el momento perfecto. In a shaker, muddle the mandarin wedges and cempasúchil petals. Add the remaining ingredients, then add ice and shake well. Serve in a rocks glass and garnish with a slice of dehydrated orange.

As you prepare to head home to Punta Mita, we invite you to join our Pack With a Purpose initiative, a meaningful way to make a difference. By including school supplies in your luggage, you’ll be helping local students supported by PEACE Punta de Mita and Fundación DINE Punta Mita gain access to the tools they need for a brighter future.
Suggested donations include notebooks, pencils, crayons, markers, backpacks, and art supplies, small contributions that go a long way in supporting education and opportunity in our community.
Donations may be dropped off with Marcela Trillo at the Punta Mita Properties office, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Together, we can make a difference.
