Big meat on the tail is a hallmark of any hot rod. This one’s getting it from Dunlop, an American Elite 240/40R18.
Ness Deep Cut rocker boxes, tappet blocks and pushrod Clean as a whistle. Dakota Digital’s 3200 Series tubes team up with a Covingtons point cover, Trask’s *air speedo/tach provides all the needed instrumentation. cleaner and *Bassani pipes for oomph and impact.
The Breakout’s tail end got a little cleaner with one of Kuryakyn’s vertical-mount license plate mounts and a Custom Dynamics LED billet taillight. A handful of other additions made the list as well, like L.A. Choppers mirrors, Trask V-Line grips, Cycle Visions turn signal cover plates, a Dakota Digital speedo/tach and a J.W. Speaker LED headlight. Not a lot, really, but taken together it makes a whole lot of difference. The engine is always a focal point with a muscle machine and Houpt and the race shop didn’t overlook this one.
One of Eddie Trotta’s Thunder Cycle Designs Star Cut derby cover nicely continues this bike’s no-nonsense vibe.
Bassani’s *Road Rage 2-into-1 exhaust system, in black, sets the mean tone, figuratively and literally. A full assortment of Ness Deep Cut engine-dress pieces also went on — pushrod tubes, tappet blocks and rocker boxes. These pieces were joined by one of Covington’s finned point covers, a Thunder Cycle Designs derby and a full Trask reverse-cut *air cleaner assembly.
