In This Issue

It’s been fun watching the evolution of Baggers these past few years. They are more functional than choppers or hot rods for long distance rides, where one or two people have some multiday luggage to bring along. Then came “Performance Baggers.” In addition to sound systems and extra lighting, riders wanted to add a more grunt to their motors. And it was that trend that led us to the track in 2020 for the first Drag Specialties King of the Bagger race.

In a way, it’s now like we’ve come full circle and people are building custom bikes inspired by the success of the Baggers being raced in the MotoAmerica series and Bagger Racing League. One great example is Tim Sutherland’s “flaming hot” Indian Pursuit on the front cover of not only this issue of the magazine, but also the 2024 Drag Specialties Indian catalog. Be sure to read the story in the issue starting on page 26.

The Drag Specialties Magazine team was in Louisville recently for the Spring edition of the NVP Product Expo. Unless you just opened for business, you know that the semi-annual “NVPs” give you a chance to come see the latest products. And even more than just seeing the products, the people who made them are there and they can tell you everything you need to know about what the products do, and where they fit in the market. That story starts on page 20. Be sure to check it out, and it’s not too early to start talking to your Drag Specialties sales rep about the Fall NVP that will be held for the first time in Milwaukee!

Lastly, on a personal note, we had to say goodbye recently to Darryl Bassani, an old friend of the industry who passed away on February 7th. I knew Darryl just about the whole time since he started his exhaust business in

1969. Through the years our relationship started out with me being his customer, then years later it switched, and he became mine.

In 1970, I was racing motorcycles for a living, but over the winter, none of the pro races were running and I wasn’t making any money. So, I started a distributing business in San Diego to carry me through. I became a distributor for Pirelli Tires and a few other items, and then one day I met Darryl. I told him what I was doing and that I’d like to sell his expansion chambers for two-strokes that were becoming popular. He agreed and I became a Bassani distributor. This went on for a couple of years until I retired from racing.

Fast forward years later and I was now publishing Drag Specialties Magazine. Along the way, Bassani had become a vendor for Drag Specialties and Darryl and I renewed our relationship. He became an advertiser in the magazine, which continues to this day.

Everyone loved Darryl – the dealers, the custom builders, the Drag sales reps, and the staff and management at LeMans, especially Fred Fox. Fred started his company all by himself and he loved working with people like Darryl who started their business the same way.

It was so sad to hear the news that Darryl had passed away. He had a rough couple of years battling cancer, so it’s good to know he is out of pain, but we’ll sure miss him. Condolences to his wife Becky, to his family, friends, and everyone at Bassani Xhaust. ■

NEWS EVENTS AND Motorcycle Industry Mourns

Passing of Darryl Bassani

The motorcycle industry was saddened by recent news of the passing of Darryl Bassani, builder of motorcycle exhaust systems for over 50 years. Darryl was born on Staten Island, NY on December 12, 1944. His family later moved to Pennsylvania, then to Georgia and finally on to Southern California in 1963.

After arriving in California, Darryl began attending engineering school. A few years later, he started riding motorcycles and was soon racing in local motocross and TT races. In an interview last year for Drag Specialties Magazine, he said he tried several aftermarket exhaust pipes on his race bike, but was disappointed with all of them, so he decided to make his own. Unfortunately, he didn’t like that one either, but after about 15 tries, he finally had a pipe that gave his 2-stroke a power advantage. At that time, Darryl didn’t have his own shop, but he arranged the use of the college’s machine shop at night, taking advantage of the tools available to him. By 1969, Darryl decided to start his own exhaust pipe business, Bassani Manufacturing. He made pipes in his garage for a while, until he finally moved into an industrial space in Anaheim. When Darryl was beginning his business, off-road 2-strokes were quite loud and the “Less Sound, More Ground” movement was in full swing. Putting his engineering education to use,

he devised a silencer that brought the decibel levels down, while not reducing horsepower. His Bassani “Quiet Pipes” were huge sellers.

In the years to follow, Darryl expanded into many segments and type of motorcycles, both2-stroke and 4-stroke for offroad and street bikes. Metric sportbikes became another hot market for Bassani exhaust systems and eventually Harley-Davidsons too.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE

A Celebration of Life for Darryl Bassani is planned for April 28th at the Carson Center in Carson, California. Those in the motorcycle sport and industry who submit an RSVP in advance are welcome to attend. Please don’t just show up. To get your name on the attendee list, RSVP in advance at: events@bassani.com.

In the summer of 2007, Bassani had systems for all of the popular models of Harley-Davidsons – current and classic – and he came on board as a vendor to Drag Specialties. His product line quickly took off with the Drag reps and dealers, and has been one of the leading exhaust brands in the FatBook ever since. It always helped that he was so easy to talk to, and that he was one of them – a fellow rider. He once said, “When Harley riders shop for exhausts, they want looks, sound and performance.” Then he added, “Here at Bassani, performance comes first, and always has.”

Darryl Bassani battled cancer for about two years and sadly, it took him on February 7th. In his last days, he and his wife Becky talked about the future of Bassani Xhaust, which will proudly carry on without skipping a beat. Godspeed to our friend Darryl Bassani. ■

MotoAmerica is excited to announce that an additional round of the 2024 Mission King of the Baggers Championship has been added with the thundering V-Twins set to do battle as a support race to the third round of the FIM MotoGP World Championship at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, April 12-13.

The COTA round will mark the first time that an international audience will see the King of the Baggers up close and personal as people converge on Austin from around the globe to attend the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas.

The two Mission King of the Baggers Presented by Drag Specialties races at COTA will pay full championship points and will be the second round of what is now an 18-race 2024 Mission King of the Baggers Championship. In addition to the two points-paying races on Saturday, there will also be a three-lap Mission Challenge on Friday afternoon with the six fastest qualifiers battling for a $5,000 winner-takeall purse.

“This is a great opportunity for MotoAmerica and our King of the Baggers series,” said MotoAmerica President Wayne Rainey. “Having our teams and riders compete at a MotoGP event is groundbreaking and I know the MotoGP fans are going to be surprised and excited about what they see at COTA. I want to thank those at MotoGP who assisted in putting this together, as well as our sponsors Mission Foods and Parts Unlimited, and the manufacturers. I can’t wait to see the reaction of the MotoGP paddock and fans when they see the Baggers in action.”

The Mission King of the Baggers Presented by Drag Specialties races will air live on MotoGP’s YouTube Channel, MotoAmerica Live+, MAVTV and MotoAmerica’s YouTube channels.

The Mission King of the Baggers series will return to COTA on September 13-15, along with the Steel Commander Superbike, Supersport, BellissiMoto Twins Cup and the Super Hooligan National Championship for what will be the penultimate round of the 2024 MotoAmerica Championship. ■

BRL

Built

by the go-fast crew at Suburban Harley-Davidson, this Performance Bagger ticks all the boxes for the new BRL Super Street class. It's a true FatBook bolt-on custom race bike.

BRL INTRODUCES NEW SUPER STREET CLASS

The midst of a pandemic is an odd time to launch an all-new class of racing – or is it? For Rob Buydos, it might have been the perfect time to strike with an outrageous concept. Once Bagger racing came on the scene four years ago (yes, the pandemic was now four years ago) we haven’t been able to tear our eyes away.

Bagger Racing has become one of the most popular and rapidly growing segments of powersports, and Buydos’ Bagger Racing League is a premiere spot for this radical new form of road racing. However, drawing fans is one thing, while attracting riders ready to throw down on the track is another. Buydos is ready to offer riders more opportunities to compete, and to take their Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycle V-Twin to a place they’ve likely never been before – out on the track. The introduction of the all-new Super Street class in the 2024 Drag Specialties Bagger Racing League is

“It’s a solid build. It’s going to be a very competitive bike. They showed that you don’t need to break the bank to go racing.”

kicking the door open a little wider for casual enthusiasts and entry-level racers to give Bagger racing a try.

“We wanted to help grow the sport,” Rob said. “As we looked, there were a lot of shops that didn’t quite have the ability to drop the type of money to really build a super high-end Pro Stock or Bagger GP bike. But they wanted to dip their toe in the water. So, we came out with a class called Super Street.”

Limited modifications are allowed in this new division of BRL, such as the motor, brakes and suspension, but as Buydos explained, it was really the high-end weight-savings mods that were becoming cost prohibitive. “If you want to do that, we have two classes for you,” Buydos said. “But, if you want to come in on a budget, really build a bike that speaks to the traditional Bagger owner, Super Street is for you. Our rule package truly makes it a bolt-together bike.”

Kicking off the Super Street class announcement at the Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties NVP Dealer Expo in Louisville was the reveal of a custom build: the Performance Machine Road Glide. Built entirely using Drag Specialties vendors, Suburban Harley-Davidson set out to build a BRL Super Street-class racer, which will be piloted by Australian Jake Masters in the 2024 series.

“They used all products out of the FatBook, from PM and a bunch of other vendors that have been a big part of the Bagger racing movement, and lo and behold, we have our Super Street entrant from Suburban Harley-Davidson,” said Buydos. “It’s a solid build. It’s going to be a very competitive bike. And, they showed that you don’t need to break the bank to go racing.”

Not only does it not break the bank, it’s also a simple build. The mods needed to hop up performance on air-cooled push-rod Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycle motors are pretty straightforward.

“These platforms don’t have sweeping changes, so right now the engine modification is so simple,” Buydos said. “There are so many people and companies that have an idea of what to do with the heads, what to do with the pistons and cams and ignition. All these things that aftermarket companies sell, it’s just which ingredients you choose to use. They all come together in a different performance package; it’s just a matter of how you like it.”

When it comes to building your Super Street racer, the ultimate guide is none other than the Drag Specialties FatBook. “1,000 pages of everything you need,” as Buydos puts it. Of course, it’s not only about power. Track handling performance is a new frontier for Bagger motorcycles, and simple chassis alterations, such as suspension and tire choice, are now where things get exciting.

“We’re not restricted by one tire, so you have a selection in which tires you want to use,” said Buydos. “They all have a performance tire that guys are using, and they’re gaining information every day on what they can do because of what these bikes, in a short sprint race, put the tires through.”

Buydos adds that the FatBook also features a number of suspension companies, each of them offering different products and techniques to improve Bagger handling and help shave seconds off a lap time.

17 APRIL 2024 ★ DRAG SPECIALTIES MAGAZINE
This 2019 Road Glide got the full-race treatment with parts and accessories from V-Twin regulars like Alloy Art, Bassani Performance Machine and Slyfox. There are even a few bits from Moose Racing and Motion Pro.

BRL PROJECT BIKE

looks fast no matter which side you're on.

“This is literally like motocross in 1974,” Buydos said “It’s the superbike era in the late ’70s where every week, whether it was Muzzy or Yoshimura, these companies were doing their best to figure it all out. That’s how all these products are being developed so quickly.”

The Suburban Harley-Davidson BRL Super Street build features a variety of parts and accessories straight out of the FatBook, starting, of course, with a set of 17-inch Performance Machine wheels wrapped in Bridgestone rubber.

Galfer brake rotors the size of manhole covers get the big girl hauled up for the turns while Barnett, DP Brakes and Driven Racing beef up clutch performance from the plates to the lever. Bassani 2-into-1 exhaust trims weight and sharpens engine response with help from a NAMZ twist grip sensor.

Legend Suspension 15-inch rear shocks (special order only) and Arlen Ness shock extensions in the rear and Custom Cycle Engineering fork tubes up front braced by Slyfox triple trees up front improve handling performance for race-winning agility. Saddlemen race seat and race bags help transform ergonomics for optimum rider control. Finishing touches such as controls, stabilizers, brake lines, hoses and oils are provided by Alloy Art, Bel-Ray, Drag Specialties, Feuling, Moose Racing, ODI, and Ultracool.

This new era of American V-Twin builds has taken builds off the showroom and right onto the track, and with the FatBook as a guide, the BRL Super Street class now makes it easier than ever to get in on the fun.

With the Performance Bagger scene, the true measure of a BRL custom build – and more importantly, rider skill – now lies on the track. With the Super Street class now opening the door even wider to riders of all types, it’s the right time to crack open the FatBook and start building a Bagger race bike.

“In the bike show era, if you made something cool, it got pushed in and out of hallways and showrooms. There’s no way to prove that it has 150 horsepower. You’re not even going to start it!” said Buydos. “But now, it’s not a judged competition; it’s a checkered flag. The checkered flag could care less who gets there first.” ■

Just a couple of short weeks into 2024, the powersports world was already geared up to tackle the new year’s sales season. Savvy dealers knew the place to do so was at the Drag Specialties Spring NVP Product Expo in Louisville, KY.

It was within the walls of the cavernous Kentucky International Convention Center that those dealers made their way through 140,000 square feet of exhibit space to see the latest and greatest from some of the top Drag Specialties vendors.

As always, the Spring NVP Product Expo was the kickoff to the beginning of the new sales season and offered dealers the chance for a hands-on look at the parts, tools, equipment, products, accessories, and apparel that are packed into the new Parts Unlimited catalogs. This year’s show offered all of that up and then some.

The energy was palpable from the moment the show opened and dealers and their reps poured into the convention hall in the annual ritual that kicks off the spring riding season. And, as always, the NVP was as much a homecoming and reunion of friends and colleagues as it was a business opportunity. With all that going for it, the show was a huge success.

The January show also showcased the diversity of the Drag Specialties product lineup, featuring not only the legacy powersports parts that are the company’s namesake, but also its growing lineup of E-Bikes and E-Bike accessories and apparel. INTENSE and iGO Electric were set up with a full offering of bikes ready for test rides.

In the days before the show opened, the Parts Unlimited sales reps received two days of in-depth product education from such companies as 6D Helmets, Alpinestars,

The knowledge gained during these sessions translated seamlessly onto the expo floor, where the sales team introduced new products to their dealers.

“I am thrilled to witness the tremendous success of the Drag Specialties and Parts Unlimited Expo in Louisville,” said Paul Devine, newly appointed Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “The dealer attendance, expanded exhibitor space, and innovative training format truly highlight the strength and vitality of our industry. I look forward to contributing to the continued growth and excitement of this premier event in the years ahead.”

Saturday’s show ended with a dealer happy hour before the whole show moved over to the Sports & Social Club in

the heart of Louisville’s 4th Street Live! district for the nowiconic LeMans Meet & Greet. Attendees enjoyed food, drinks, games, robust camaraderie and a variety of sports programming on the establishment’s more than 60 televisions. When the 2024 Fall North American NVP Product Expo lands later this year, it will take place at the newly renovated Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on September 7-8, 2024.

Milwaukee will be a great new backdrop for the next North American NVP and will bring more than triple the floor space allowing for more vendors and larger exhibits making it the largest footprint yet for the NVP Product Expo.

Flaming Pursuit

What’s this, a custom-flame paint job on a Bagger? And, yet, on a Bagger that happens to be the cover bike for Drag Specialties’ 2024 Indian catalog? Yep, and here’s the story explaining why this flaming 2023 Indian Pursuit resides on the 2024 catalog cover.

Not many years ago those hefty bikes we affectionately call Baggers rarely showed up at bike nights that typically were populated with custom motorcycles sporting highdollar parts and wild custom paint jobs. But when Baggers happened to roll in, they generally did so rather discreetly, wearing tasteful, yet subdued, paint jobs, some accented with mild pinstripes to help tone down the bike’s huge gas tank, bulbous fenders and massive fairing.

26 DRAG SPECIALTIES MAGAZINE ★ APRIL 2024 COVER STORY CATALOG COVER BIKE

Any customization beyond those parameters was considered sacrilege on a Bagger, and flamed Baggers fell into that realm. Bagger owners, you see, were supposedly more concerned about blazing a trail across the horizon, rather than drawing attention with fiery flames lapping wildly across a bike’s body panels.

Then, at about the turn of the millennium, along came Victory Motorcycles, augmenting the gene pool that distin-

guished cruiser motorcycles and Baggers. As we now know, during Victory Motorcycles’ early days the company offered optional paint schemes that included flame graphics for its first popular model, the V92C.

Soon enough traditional-style hot rod flames – often spread over classic black base coats – became popular graphics among other early Victory models, too. One man who understood the hot flame concept was Tim Sutherland,

27 APRIL 2024 ★ DRAG SPECIALTIES MAGAZINE
Tim Sutherland's 2023 Indian Pursuit's all-over flame treatment is a striking reflection of longtime Drag dealer's signature style. As the co-owner at St. Paul Indian Motorcycles/Lloyd'z Garage at Indian Motorcycles Charlotte, Sutherland is heavily involved in the Performance Bagger/V-Twin racing scene.

who was to be among the first Victory Motorcycles dealers, staking his claim with Coastal Victory in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Over time Coastal Victory became known for its wild custom paint jobs, especially paint jobs with flames leaping across those Victory Baggers’ sheet metal and lockable saddlebags. Sutherland and his dealership eventually teamed with Rusty Nash, of Paints by Rusty, to serve up some rather wild and imaginative custom paint schemes, many that showcased remarkable flame graphics on motorcycles sold by Coastal Victory. The dealership’s enthusiasm for its creative paint jobs and flame graphics helped ratchet Coastal Victory to rank among the top five Victory dealerships in the nation.

The custom Bagger craze soon followed, bringing with it big wheel Baggers sporting 21-inch, 23-inch and 26-inch front wheels. The big wheels kept on turning for the custom Bagger crowd, but by 2017 the music stopped for Victory Motorcycles. A few years before that Polaris Industries, owners of Victory Motorcycles, had acquired the legendary Indian Motorcycle, launching its initial models — first the Chief for 2014 and later the Scout.

Within three years Polaris elected to cease the Victory line so the company could concentrate solely on the revived Indian Motorcycle brand. Coastal Victory soon became Coastal Indian Motorcycles, and life went on, and some of those early Indian models even sported custom flame graphics!

During that same time Sutherland had aligned himself with Lloyd Greer, a man who understood how to put the word “high” into high-performance motorcycle engines. Greer was a speed tuner, operating his own speed tuning business under the Lloyd’z Motorworkz shingle. On the other hand, Sutherland understood how to customize a bike so that it stood out among others in a parking lot or on the road. Sutherland dubbed his custom company HotVic.

Their involvement in the custom and high-performance market stretched from Victory, and later into the new Indian Motorcycle era. By that time Sutherland had sold his share of Coastal Indian so that he could relocate to Charlotte, North Carolina, to assume duties at Charlotte Indian Motorcycle. He continued his association with Greer, and together they formed what became known as Pretty Fast. The Pretty Fast moniker, as Sutherland explains it, is rather straightforward: “I make them pretty and Lloyd makes them fast.”

By 2020 the performance Bagger craze was starting to catch fire among enthusiasts, attaining full stride with the first King of the Baggers race, held at Laguna Seca Raceway, and won by Tyler O’Hara on an Indian Challenger. The Bagger world was forever changed, and the race was on to produce the fastest, best handling Bagger on the road or track. A major takeaway from that landmark race assured the future for a booming Bagger aftermarket, with many

performance parts spilling over and onto the road, giving the budding Performance Bagger genre a life of its own. Sutherland and Greer were a natural fit for the Performance Bagger racing scene – now including the Drag Specialtiesbacked Bagger Racing League and the MotoAmerica King of the Baggers series. Naturally, Sutherland and Greer’s team competes aboard Indian motorcycles, and the Pretty Fast pair gained traction in the field.

Greer continued finding speed in their team’s race bikes, and Sutherland always made sure the bikes looked presentable and marketable on race day. The hard work paid off, too. Their team’s Indian Challenger entry performed well in 2023’s MotoAmerica National Championship Series and in the Bagger Racing League championship. In addition, Lloyd’z Garage rider Hawk Mazzota won the Mission Foods V-Twin Air Cooled Super Hooligan National Championship, which means their Indian Chief wears the Number One plate throughout the 2024 season.

A go-fast Bagger like the Pursuit needs an appropriate windshield and a Klock Werks Flare screen fits the bill.

Drag dealer Tim Sutherland's flame-covered Indian Pursuit is a work in-progress. Good thing that new 2024 Indian catalog is jam-packed with parts and accessories for a range of Indian models.

Indian Motorcycle’s Challenger and most recently its stablemate, the Pursuit, especially helped turn the Bagger movement on its ear, creating all-day riders that serve as perfect platforms for anybody interested in owning a Performance Bagger. While Drag Specialties’ parts and accessories catalog for Indian models is chock full of aftermarket ware for enthusiasts, Sutherland figured he’d do what he does best, and that’s oversee a flame paint job for his new, and personal, Pursuit.

The first thing he did was to call Rusty Nash, explaining his plan, which was rather simple and familiar to both men. They would create a wild flame paint job for the new Pursuit, travel trunk and all. After Rusty and Sutherland laid out the graphics, they referred to Drag Specialties’ Indian parts catalog for a Klock Werks Flare windshield, an essential component for any hi-po Bagger such as this.

2024 INDIAN CATALOG

COVER BIKE

Sutherland’s flame-covered Pursuit is still a work-in-progress and that 2024 Indian parts catalog is the go-to source for additional high-performance parts and accessories. What’s on the menu? An engine big-bore kit tops the bill, plus an exhaust system, a performance ignition, perhaps new wheels wrapped with fresh high-performance rubber, and what about a cool custom seat?

There are 146 pages to the 2024 Drag Specialties Parts & Accessories catalog for Indian Motorcycles, so Sutherland – or any dealer, for that matter – shouldn’t have to look long or hard to find custom and performance parts for this, or any, Indian Bagger. In the meantime, Sutherland also has his dealership and race team to keep him busy. Yet, despite facing another hectic schedule, Sutherland shows no signs of experiencing any kind of a flame out. ■

Mighty Mini A Fresh Aftermarket Fairing for Harleys

Saddlemen’s new S-RT mini fairing brings a sleek performance touring look to the Harley-Davidson aftermarket. It’s similar to its full-size cousin, the FXRT fairing, and provides wind protection for riders.

The cover of the 2024 FatBook includes the latest product from Saddlemen. No, it’s not a gel seat, even though that’s what the company is best known for.

The new S-RT mini fairing brings a sleek performance touring look to the HarleyDavidson aftermarket.

Saddlemen has earned a reputation for products that provide a more comfortable ride, and the new fairing kit fits perfectly into the family as a simple-to-install, attractive option that delivers excellent wind protection for performance touring.

Saddlemen might be best known for seats and luggage, but the company has a long history in bodywork, too. Saddlemen first began making tail sections for its flat track riders, and

Each S-RT mini fairing includes powdercoated brackets and stainless-steel hardware, and it simply bolts onto the frame without the need for any modifications.

eventually, consumer versions of the bodywork were introduced.

The S-RT mini fairing is an exciting addition to a full line of innovative products from Saddlemen.

The S-RT mini fairing was officially launched this year at the Louisville NVP, where it got a lot of attention from attending dealers. It’s similar to its full-size cousin, the FXRT fairing. Its reduced size gives riders wind protection to cut down on turbulence, while staying nice and trim so it looks proportional when mounted on cruiser and sport models.

The team at Saddlemen originally built this fairing for their own bikes. When those bikes rolled out at Sturgis, people quickly took notice –and put in requests for one of their

FAIRINGS

own. Saddlemen answered by creating a production version to fit a range of Dynas, FXRs, M8 Softail Low Riders, Sportsters and Street Bobs.

Saddlemen has been busy building several bikes with the S-RT mini fairing to help get the word out, and FXRs are proving to be one of the most popular builds so far. The company reports that the FXR community has been enthusiastic about the release of the fairing.

Over the years, Saddlemen has continued developing new materials and embracing new technologies for its products. The bodywork department is no exce ption. The S-RT mini fairing is made from injection-molded ABS. This is a departure from the standard fiberglass, which can sometimes be inconsistent and difficult to work with for customers.

By using injection molding, the ABS is perfectly formed, every time, for an OEMquality finish and a flawless fit on the bike. Additionally, this material allows the bodywork to have built-in tabs and mounting points that are smooth and consistent.

Each S-RT mini fairing arrives with a gloss black finish, plus it can be easily prepped and painted so customers get just the look they want.

To make things even more convenient, the S-RT mini fairing utilizes either a stock or aftermarket 5.75-inch headlight, which sits under an included clear headlight cover. The light-smoke, low-profile flare windscreen is 8-inches tall and is an effective way to divert wind from the road.

The performance Bagger market continues to grow, and the S-RT mini fairing is a great choice for riders who are putting on the miles. Experienced riders know one of the best ways to achieve a more comfortable ride is with the wind protection offered by a fixed-mount fairing and windshield.

Saddlemen plans on offering matching lower fairings as well as several additional lens colors to give riders even more customization options.

Each S-RT mini fairing includes powdercoated brackets and stainless-steel hardware, and it simply bolts onto the frame without the need for any modifications. This complete package comes in at a very favorable price point, which is one of the things dealers were excited about when checking out the S-RT mini fairing at NVP.

There are plenty of Saddlemen seats and backrests that look great with the S-RT mini fairing, and riders who want

to lean into the Club Style look can opt for the DXT rigid mount saddlebags for Dyna and M8 Softail models. These bags have a sleek Sport Touring style that hearkens back to the original Harley version. Nylon bags combine with premium leather tops to provide expandable, weatherresistant storage for plenty of gear.

Saddlemen is already working on its next bodywork project, but the parts aren’t something you’re likely to see on the street anytime soon. Just as Saddlemen originally got into bodywork design and manufacturing through flat track, the company is now designing custom one-off carbon fiber pieces for its Baggers and Super Hooligans race team.

Team Saddlemen will field three riders in the 2024 MotoAmerica Mission King of the Baggers and Mission Super Hooligan National Championships. In King of the Baggers, team riders Cory West, Jake Lewis and Travis Wyman will race Harley-Davidson Road Glide Limited motorcycles outfitted with Saddlemen’s carbon fiber bodywork. The riders will also compete on Pan Americas in the Super Hooligan series, again taking advantage of custom-made carbon-fiber bodywork from Saddlemen.

For Saddlemen, racing isn’t just about the chance to win. It’s also an opportunity to design prototype products and gain valuable knowledge that will be used for customer products in the future. Saddlemen’s offering of injection and composites bodywork is a great example of track research being turned into consumer products. ■

Tires for a Custom Cover Bike

When Shannon Reinhart built this year’s OldBook cover bike, a 1999 Harley-Davidson FLSTF Fat Boy, he chose Metzeler ME888 Ultra Marathon tires to get it down the road. Just as Shannon breathes new life into older motorcycles, these tires are a way to freshen up a bike’s looks and performance. The ME888 Ultra Marathon tires look perfectly at home on bike models from any era, but they have all the modern features that riders want.

“The tires make a huge difference,” Shannon says. “You put a cheap tire on there, you get a soft sidewall and feel like you’re all over the road with it. You put a quality tire on there like Metzelers, you get a stable ride.”

It’s one of the reasons Metzelers are a go-to choice for Shannon when he’s building a bike. And, because the ME888 tire is offered in such a wide range of sizes – more than 90, including oversized options – it’s a great tire for everything from a stock bike to a full custom.

When building the 2024/2025 OldBook cover bike, Shannon Reinhart outfitted that 1999 Harley-Davidson FLSTF Fat Boy with Metzeler ME888 Ultra Marathon tires. The tires look perfect on bike models from any era, but they have all the modern features that riders want.

Shannon, who is the owner of EDZ Motorcycle Service and Repair in Decatur, Indiana, wanted to run a 23-inch wheel on the front of the Fat Boy. Luckily, Metzeler offers the ME888 Ultra Marathon tire in that size, making it an easy choice for Shannon.

“I think they work well and look good on there,” Shannon says of the tires. But he adds that, for him, there’s one other very important factor to consider when it comes to tire choice. “How are they going to handle?”

As Shannon had expected, the ME888 tires handle great. Designed for long-distance touring capabilities, the ME888 tire has outstanding longevity, predictability and wet-weather performance.

When it came time to deliver the OldBook cover bike to the team at Drag Specialties, Shannon rode it from Sturgis to Rapid City, South Dakota. The bike handled the high speeds on the interstate with ease.

Shannon says some of his customers are focused on even the smallest of details, including how the unique tread of the ME888 tire looks. Of course, Metzeler didn’t design the tread just for show. It’s also designed for efficient water evacuation and wear uniformity, ensuring a smooth ride even as the miles add up.

Metzeler also offers a white wall version of the tire for riders who want a vintage look and a pop of color.

Dealers will be able to check out the Metzeler-equipped OldBook cover bike for themselves at events where the Drag Specialties truck will be on site with its mobile display. ■

Modern Classic 2-into-1 Exhaust Systems

Exhilaration never goes out of style. This sums up the design and execution of Vance & Hines’ latest addition to its 2-into-1 exhaust system lineup, the Supersport 2-into-1. Unveiled at the Louisville NVP, this exhaust system takes inspiration from Vance & Hines’ other 2-into-1 style systems, combining both classic and raceready style and performance for a new way to hear Harley-Davidson Milwaukee-Eight-powered riders.

The Supersport 2-into-1 exhaust system offers a nice bit of performance and rumble to Harley-Davidson Milwaukee-Eight models. The unique sweep of the headers not only looks cool, but also help build power and provide ground clearance.

While the Supersport system possesses plenty of race qualities, Vance & Hines followed its best-ofboth-worlds approach and refined the look a bit more than a race system. Supersport systems are equipped with full-length header heat shields and a collector shield. The collector shield is hand TIG-welded and has the appearance of a merge collector, similar to the shield on the Pro Pipe.

Trailing this exhaust system is a muffler design that pays homage to Vance & Hines’ original Supersport design from the ’90s. V&H designers managed to keep the brands’ classic look and identifiers and update them with some more aggressive and modern performance elements.

The *Supersport 2-into-1 (EMIS Code 2) is a mid-length exhaust system, filling the gap between Vance & Hines’ long-standing *Pro Pipe full-length system (EMIS Code 2) and the recent short, race-replica *Hi-Output RR system (EMIS Code 2). The Vance & Hines crew took inspiration from its race systems for the Supersport, giving it 304 stainless steel construction throughout, along with a more aggressive header design.

The headers in the Supersport system are long and sweep upward before the collector, a unique design that not only adds a trick look, but also helps the system improve power and allows for more ground clearance at the muffler. This isn’t unlike what you’d see in full race systems on Vance & Hines machines at King of the Baggers and Bagger Racing League.

The muffler of each new Supersport system displays a classic, racing Vance & Hines nameplate badge that recognizes decades of racing history in a single stamp. The muffler outlet features a TIG welded, pie cut outlet tube with a rolled end that’s assembled with a CNC-machined billet end cap, a nod to that original Supersport design.

Altogether, this system delivers an impressive combination of sound and power for M8 machines. This includes new M8 variants like the VVT 121 and high-output versions fitted in the new CVO models. In Vance & Hines’ testing, the Supersport 2-into-1 made more power than its Pro Pipe and Hi-Output RR systems, and that power comes with an aggressive and deep roar. Plus, perhaps the best feature is that the Supersport is a 49-state emissions compliant exhaust system. ■

Big Power, Short Pipes An Exhaust System for Looks and Power

Getting big power and big sound doesn’t mean the exhaust system has to be big, too. Bassani Xhaust takes a minimalist approach with its Shorter 2:1 system (EMIS Code 3) and 4-inch Super Bike muffler.

As the name says, the Shorter 2:1 exhaust system has shorter head pipes that still produce the big Bassani sound. When paired with a 4-inch Super Bike muffler, the setup really changes the look of a stock bike. It gives the bike a sleek, clean look while also leaving the rear wheel on full view. It’s just proof that in this case, less is more.

The Shorter 2:1 system for Harley-Davidsons will fit Street Bob, Low Rider S, Fat Bob and Slim models. It is based on Bassani’s best-selling Road Rage III system, which means this new design will likely be a big hit, too. It’s a great way to improve a bike’s power, looks and sound, all by just swapping out the stock exhaust.

craftsman finish. The Super Bike muffler’s origins are inspired by racing. The company’s late founder, Darryl Bassani, first began developing exhausts for racing in the 1970s, and the Super Bike muffler is the evolution of the company’s focus on performance blended with great looks and sound.

The team at Bassani proudly makes all of its exhaust systems and slipons in the USA. Everything is done in-house at the Bassani headquarters in Anaheim, California, and the quality steel is sourced from American mills. Steel selection is an important step in the process, because “quality” does not just refer to the steel’s strength and durability. By using only select steel, Bassani exhausts have improved heat cycles and increased heat protection.

The 1¾-inch stepped headpipes feed into 17/8-inch pipes, and when combined with the Super Bike muffler, they provide a boost in both horsepower and torque. And, of course, riders will get that Bassani rumble they have come to expect from the brand.

The Super Bike muffler is made from stainless steel, and both the matching end cap and baffle are removable. The TIG welding is beautifully done by hand for a true

Keep On Rolling Tires for Trikes, Too

The start of a new riding season means a lot of riders are thinking about getting their motorcycles refreshed and ready for the road trips, rallies and other events that will be happening in the coming months. A big part of that preparation includes fresh tires, and Avon has more than 60 sizes of the Cobra Chrome tire ready to get riders to their destination.

Of those many sizes, two are dedicated Trike tires. The MT90B16 for the Harley-Davidson Trike and a 130/70R18 for the Honda Goldwing Trike are both reinforced to deftly handle the additional weight of a Trike, and they have all the technology and performance aspects that riders expect in the Cobra Chrome.

As many longtime riders get older and make the jump from two wheels to three, the Trike market continues to grow. The Avon Cobra Chrome Trike tires are great for dealers to have on hand for those customers who are still going strong and enjoying motorcycling.

In addition to Trikes, the Cobra Chrome tire can be used for a range of cruiser, touring and custom bikes. It’s no wonder these tires have been a huge hit since their

introduction. They have a distinct, yet timeless look, and they are packed with high-tech features.

Avon’s Cobra tire was an iconic part of the V-Twin tire scene, and the Cobra Chrome is a high-performance version of that classic. In all, the Cobra Chrome tire has increased stability, better handling and improved longevity compared to its predecessor.

At a glance, the most distinctive feature of the Cobra Chrome is the snakeskin pattern on the edge of the tread. The whitewall fitments add even more of a bold statement to any bike.

In addition to looks, the Cobra Chrome has outstanding grip and excellent mileage. Riders can rely on its high stability in all conditions and precise tire feedback for a confident, enjoyable riding experience.

Avon utilizes Enhanced Stability System (ES) technology to reduce tire flex, which improves both grip and stability. At the same time, it was important to preserve the tire’s durability, which is achieved with things like Advanced Variable Belt Density (A-VBD) on the rear tires and Force Following Grooves (FFG) for reduced wear and road noise.

The Cobra Chrome tire is efficient in wet weather, too, with improved wet braking distances thanks in part to the compounds used in the tire’s construction. Avon’s Enhanced Aqua Flow (EAF) design gives the tire optimal water dispersal while still providing an ample contact patch. ■

A Headlight with Big, Bright Looks

Dealers at the Louisville NVP likely had a tough time missing the latest product from Custom Dynamics. The super-bright, highly stylized Shark Demon Performance LED Headlight for Road Glides made its debut in Louisville, and it meant the Custom Dynamics booth was a popular spot throughout the entire weekend. Now, riders can order this DOTcompliant performance headlight from Drag Specialties.

This style of headlight has been making a splash in the powersports industry lately, and the Shark Demon has been in development for more than a year to provide riders with looks and functionality that are great for both seeing and being seen.

Inside the Shark Demon are the high-quality LED lighting components that riders and dealers have come to expect from Custom Dynamics. The low beam is comprised of six projection LEDs and eight direct-reflective LEDs, which produce 11,314 raw/5,554 effective lumens. The high beam’s intensity comes from adding eight more direct-reflective LEDs to create a beam with an impressive 22,274 raw/8,634 effective lumens. With LED lighting, more lumens equals a brighter light.

Shark Demon’s low beam is comprised of six projection LEDs and eight direct-reflective LEDs. The high beam’s intensity comes from adding eight more direct-reflective LEDs.

In addition to sending out a bright beam of light ahead of the motorcycle, the Shark Demon also features sidefacing position lights to increase the viewing angle and the width of the beam pattern. The result is the “ditch-toditch” illumination that is a hallmark of Custom Dynamics lighting products. Riders can see more of the road, not just directly ahead of them, but in a wider side-to-side range for improved visibility.

Any riders worried about compliance for these LED lights can rest easy, since the Shark Demon is both DOTcompliant and SAE compliant, and it was engineered specifically for on-road use.

The LED assemblies are housed in a completely sealed IP67 housing, which means it is weatherproof and can stand up to the elements with ease. The gloss black aluminum housing is paired with a clear polycarbonate lens.

Each Shark Demon kit arrives with black stainless steel mounting brackets, a plug-and-play wiring harness and all necessary hardware. The Shark Demon fits Road Glide models from 2015 all the way up to 2023, and this complete kit retails for an affordable $999.95. ■

Classic Brand, Great Comfort Seat Options for Indian Models

Chances are good that you’re seeing more and more Indians on the road these days. The iconic brand is having a surge in popularity, and this is great news for Indian dealers both in terms of selling more bikes and helping customers upgrade with a selection of aftermarket parts. As more Indian models are released, Drag Specialties Seats continues to offer additional designs and fitments, from Touring seats to vintage-style solo seats.

Drag Specialties Seats are all made in the USA, making them a perfect pairing with a legendary American motorcycle brand like Indian. Molded polyurethane foam provides a comfortable ride, and a 3/16-inch ABS thermoformed seat base provides a perfect fit on the bike. Below that, the seat has a carpeted bottom and rubber bumpers to protect the bike’s paint.

Touring riders will appreciate the tall driver back support of Drag’s low-profile Touring seats. The front of the seat is narrow for better comfort and leg clearance to the ground, making this design ideal both while rolling down the road and while sitting still. The seat is a ½ inch lower than stock and 1 inch farther back to let riders stretch their legs.

Drag also offers a low-profile Touring seat with forward positioning. This version moves the rider forward 1 inch compared to the stock seat, and it’s a ½ inch lower, too.

The Touring seats are available with solar-reflective leather in the seating area. The unique finishing process for this leather reduces the surface temperature of the seat by as much as 25 degrees Fahrenheit. Not only is the seat cooler, but it is more durable than conventional leather or vinyl, too.

Indian riders who want comfort while making a dramatic style statement can opt for the Predator III seats, available in both a standard and forward-positioning design. The driver back support is particularly tall, and the styling looks great in any of the available finishes, which includes some color-contrast thread options for the double diamond stitching.

The Indian Scout Bobber has a vintage look, and the Bobber-style front and rear solo seats are true to that aesthetic. The solo seat might look like a classic spring seat, but it’s rigid-mounted. The front seat can be used on its own or paired with the rear solo seat.

Drag Specialties Seats also offers ¾ solo seats for Scout Bobbers, which gives the bikes a distinct café racer look. This is a big style change that can be made with very little effort, since it mounts just like the OEM seat.

There are solo seats for other Indian models, as well, and they move the rider an inch back and half an inch down compared to the stock seat. These solo seats have 3 inches of back support and a classic look. ■

Introducing the New NXL Line

TKodlin’s new NXL Line of floorboards, footpegs and mini boards offers customers a truly unique, high-quality option for customizing their V-Twin. The floorboards are lightweight and provide substantial support and traction.

here was a lot of buzz around the Kodlin Motorcycles booth at the Louisville NVP thanks to an entirely new line from the popular brand. The Kodlin team proudly showed dealers the first three ultra-premium products in the new NXL Line, including footpegs, floorboards and mini boards.

The line’s name, NXL, stands for “Next Level Line,” because these new products are high-quality, premium items for Harley-Davidsons. Even the packaging has been designed to reflect the line’s high-level positioning in the V-Twin market.

Kodlin has long been known for its innovative designs and commitment to outstanding quality and engineering. Now, the NXL Line takes all of that – just as the name says – to the next level.

The first NXL Line products to arrive on the scene are all made from CNC-machined billet aluminum that is black anodized for a modern, distinct look. A brushed stainless steel cover adds style and durability. These designs also reduce vibrations and provide enhanced traction to keep the rider’s feet firmly in place.

The NXL floorboards will fit all 1999-2024 Harley Touring models, making these incredibly versatile floorboards to keep in stock. Weighing in at only 0.8 pounds each,

The NXL footpegs carry through the look of the line with the machined billet aluminum and brushed stainless steel cover. They provide a striking upgrade over stock.

Kodlin designed the packaging for the NXL Line to reflect its high-level positioning in the V-Twin market. It showcases the premium look of the products, and offers great merchandizing options for dealers.

these floorboards are extremely lightweight while still providing substantial support. The floorboards are 10-inches long and 4½-inches wide, so there is ample space, too. The floorboards look great right out of the box, but the aluminum base and stainless steel covers are both easy to customize for riders who want to put their own twist on the look. Each set of floorboards arrives with all the hardware necessary for installation.

The NXL mini boards can be used by themselves or in tandem with the floorboards as a passenger footrest. Measuring in at 6-inches long and 3½-inches wide, these mini floorboards are a more compact option that still provide a comfortable spot for a rider’s feet. A model specific Kodlin splined adapter is required for installation, and dealers can easily pick the right application from the FatBook

The third product in the NXL Line’s launch are the NXL footpegs. These are designed to fit 2018-2024 Softail models, Sportster S models with mid-controls and even the Pan America. The footpegs are extremely light, weighing in at only 0.4 pounds each – the same weight as the mini floorboards, in fact. ■

Moto-Inspired Grip and Throttle Tube Pair

he experience of riding a motorcycle really comes down to feel, and what’s a more direct feeling than the grips in a rider’s hands and the twist of the throttle? THRASHIN Supply Company is built on owner Lance Coury’s dedication to creating parts that fit his and so many others’ riding styles, and not taking “that’s not available” for an answer.

This approach has led to an impressive catalog of highquality components for Harley-Davidson models, and the most recent additions to that roster are THRASHIN’s Moto grips and billet throttle tubes.

Any rider who’s crossed back and forth between their dirtbike to their Harley can attest to the bulkiness of OEM Harley grips, not to mention the combination of rubber with metal inserts, making for a generally less-than-comfortable riding experience. Thankfully, Coury and the THRASHIN team spent a thorough 18 months developing their first full-rubber grip for Harleys, bringing it from a rough prototype to the refined TSC Bolt grip.

and softer, more durable compound – and apply it to a classic, diamond-shaped textured design inspired by what many grew up using. This moto design reduces vibration and provides extra dexterity with maximized hand traction.

What’s the perfect complement to a fresh set of Moto grips? That’s easy, THRASHIN’s new billet throttle tube. Designed for seamless, functional integration with throttle-by-wire Harley models, this new generation design helps riders roll on the gas smoother than ever with 6061-T6 billet aluminum construction.

Ready to be fitted on 1-inch OD handlebars, each billet throttle tube is precision machined for consistent throttle actuation. They’re also fitted with low-friction PTFE inserts to deliver the power in the rider’s hand as smoothly as possible with a twist of the grip. Whether they’re paired up with the new Moto grips or the TSC Bolt grips, THRASHIN billet throttle tubes are supplied with a knurled surface for confident grip adhesion.

Coury and the THRASHIN crew don’t just design and sell, they want to prove that THRASHIN products are going to hold up for countless miles on customers’ machines. Both the Moto grips and billet throttle tubes have been put through the wringer in durability and quality testing, ensuring each product that exits THRASHIN’s doors lives up to the reputation riders expect. ■

Race-Proven Performance Track Style for the Street

Do your customers want to build an Indian as competitive as a championship-winning King of the Baggers custom? Then they’ll need a performance exhaust. With S&S Cycle’s new Qualifier exhaust for the Indian Challenger and Pursuit models, your customers can rock the same style as one of the fastest baggers in American.

Bagger racing has grabbed the country’s attention. What began as a one-off invitational in 2020 has grown into one of America’s most popular roadracing series. S&S has been involved since the class’s inception, working with teams to do what S&S does best – build exceptionally fast motorcycles. Those efforts paid off in 2022, when Tyler O’Hara took the championship on an S&S-equipped Indian. The custom pipe that propelled O’Hara to the top of the box is the basis for the new Qualifier exhaust, available for 2020 through 2024 Indian Challenger and Pursuit models.

In stock form the Challenger and Pursuit come with a chrome or all-black two-into-one system with massive heat shields and a muffler that extends all the way to the rear fender. It’s not an ugly exhaust, but it doesn’t do the 108-inch

PowerPlus engine any favors in terms of style of performance. Meanwhile, the Qualifier is all about style and performance.

In brushed stainless, the Qualifier has a subtle sheen that complements the gunmetal gray of the PowerPlus’s cylinders. It stands out better than an all-black exhaust but doesn’t steal too much attention like a chrome setup. If your customers like the dark look, the Qualifier is also available in a Guardian Black.

Both versions are equipped with an open, short muffler with a race-inspired tip that terminates just behind the bag’s front edge. The shorter muffler sounds awesome, looks great and helps save pounds of weight over the stock, stifled pipe. Full heat shields cover the front and rear headers, which snake around a little more to add pipe length that helps tune the exhaust’s power. Stepped, stainless steel headers further refine flow to ensure the Qualifier works as good as it looks.

Since these pipes are based on a competition exhaust, and because S&S has racing in its blood, the Qualifier is available in both a *race-only (EMIS Code 3) version as well as a *streetlegal (EMIS Code 1) version. If your customers are headed to the track, the race pipe delivers unrestricted sound and has plumbing that’s tuned to work well with high-compression big-bore pistons, race cams, and other engine mods. For street bikes, the 50-state version provides great sound, a nice boost in power, and loads of style, all while remaining on the right side of the law. ■

Preparing for the Slide Stylish Crash Protection for Harley-Davidsons

Most riders have heard the maxim “It’s not if you’ll crash, but when.” For the latest generation of aggressive Harley-Davidson riders popping wheelies and practicing stunts on their Dynas, Softails, Sportsters and Touring bikes, tipovers happen. Whether your customers are pushing the limits on purpose or are just everyday riders who want to protect their bikes in case of a get-off, Burly Brand’s Brawler Kits are a great upgrade.

Burly also has Brawler Kits for Baggers. These include a crash bar for the front as well as rear cages to protect the bags. The rear Brawler cages have upper and lower mounts for the ultimate in structural integrity, and feature upper and lower sliders to serve as sacrificial contact points.

With a Brawler Kit installed, your customers can take their riding to the edge – and possibly, over it – knowing that their bike has a solidly built defense against the pavement.

The Brawler Kits aren’t just functional, they’re stylish too. The bars blend a rebellious aesthetic with bulletproof engineering, and it’s all held in place with stout hardware that’s supplied with the kits. As an added bonus, the forward bar doubles as highway pegs, and precision knurling provides a secure grip so the rider can comfortably rest their legs during longer rides.

Whether it’s a Sportster or a Street Glide, the Brawler Kits are a great mod for riders living on the edge, as well as anyone who wants to keep their bike safe in a tip over. With a black powder-coat finish, clean lines, and subtle details like knurling and badging, these kits look as good as they function.

Formed from thick tubular steel with replaceable Delrin sliders, the Brawler Kits help protect Sportsters, Dynas and Softails from excessive damage. With a stout cage that wraps around the forward section of the frame and standoffs for the upper shock mounts, bikes can tip completely on their sides without critical parts touching the pavement. Gusseted and TIG welded for maximum strength, the Brawler Kits protect your customer’s bike in style and are designed to take serious abuse.

From that accidental driveway tip over to looping a wheelie or sliding out in a corner, the Brawler Kits are there to take the brunt of the abuse. Anyone who wants to shield their Dyna, Softail, Sportster, or Bagger from damage should take a look at Burly’s Brawler Kits. ■

Dakota Digital has built a reputation for high-quality digital instrumentation that looks and functions flawlessly.

Ross Ortman started Dakota Digital back in 1986. In those early days, the company looked like a lot of others in our industry do at the start – a small operation with a garage serving as headquarters.

Now, almost 40 years later, things have changed significantly. Dakota Digital has a large, modern manufacturing facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. With more than 40,000 square feet of space and about 165 employees, Dakota Digital has become a true force in aftermarket instrumentation.

The company serves a wide range of markets, offering products for muscle cars, hot rods, street trucks and motorcycles. Products include both vacuum fluorescent digital systems as well as hybrid analog and digital instrumentation. With so much variety, Dakota Digital instrumentation is a popular choice among custom bike builders, as well as riders who want a clean, modern look for their stock bike.

The designing, testing and manufacturing of Dakota Digital products is all handled out of the Sioux Falls headquarters. By keeping almost every step of the production process under one roof, the team at Dakota Digital is able to ensure outstanding quality and consistency for the products heading out the door.

The shop area at Dakota Digital contains the latest manufacturing equipment, including CNC mills and turning lathes. Raw aluminum is transformed into pristine instrument housings and other products through a process of turning, milling and finishing.

Before a product is ready for dealers’ shelves, though, it has to be tested and refined. Dakota Digital’s R&D department has a fleet of vehicles to enable extensive testing, ensuring that each product not only functions well but that it also has a perfect fit and finish on the vehicle.

DIGITAL GAUGES FOR HARLEY-DAVIDSONS LOOKING SHARP

Dakota Digital has built a reputation for high-quality digital instrumentation that looks great and functions flawlessly.

Dakota Digital refers to its R&D department as a development laboratory, and it is packed with a great list of resources, including a dyno, climate chamber and machines for rapid prototyping.

The MLX-8414 is Dakota Digital’s flagship product and a great example of the company’s commitment to quality. This wildly popular instrumentation system fits 2014 and newer Harley-Davidson Baggers, and its plug-and-play design makes it an incredibly easy upgrade to make.

The MLX-8414 consists of four gauges, including the speedometer, tachometer, oil temperature gauge and voltmeter. The fuel level is included in the speedometer, and the other expected information displays can be found, too, like a clock and gear position indicator. This information can be configured to display the exact readouts the rider wants to see.

In addition to its extremely clean design, one of the hallmarks of the MLX-8414 is the ability to select the color of the readouts. There are 31 colors available, and each gauge color can be independently selected. There are also 12 pre-set themes for riders who want a bit of a shortcut. The digital readout is bright enough to read in the sunshine, and it automatically dims at night so it’s easier on the eyes.

All of this programming is a breeze thanks to the MLX8414’s built-in Bluetooth technology. The instrumentation can be customized via an app for Andoid and Apple iOS

devices, making it incredibly easy to setup and customize the instruments.

Dakota Digital also has the MLX-9000 Series of gauges. This bar-mounted instrumentation system is a great way to add a modern look to a stock or custom bike, and it’s offered in three applications to serve a wide variety of Harley models. There is the MLX-9000 Series universal system, plus versions for Harleys with both CAN-BUS and Databus setups.

There is a long list of the information that can be viewed on an MLX-9000 Series gauge, and the rider has a number of options for what to display and where to display it. There is even a choice between digital or bar-graph style readouts for several of the areas.

This variety of options makes the MLX-9000 Series instrument system an ideal choice for everything from stock to highly modified bikes that need additional readouts for proper functioning.

The RGB (Red/Green/Blue) lighting provides color options, and even the housing itself has some variety. In addition to choosing a chrome or black housing, there are also two shape options. The oval housing is more traditional, while the spike housing has an edgier, more aggressive look. ■

IBolt-On Power Compact, Easy-to-Install Turbo Kits

n the realm of high-performance motorcycles, the pursuit of power and speed is an ongoing quest for racers and enthusiasts alike. While many traditionalists may lean toward the idea of building a large displacement motor to boost performance, there’s a compelling alternative that’s gaining traction – the *Trask Tornado Turbo Kit (EMIS Code 3). Let’s take a look at why a Trask Tornado Turbo Kit may be a more enticing option than going the route of constructing a massive engine.

To start, let’s acknowledge that building a large displacement motor has its merits. A larger engine does indeed offer the potential for increased horsepower and torque. However, this comes at a cost. Constructing a high-displacement engine requires a significant financial investment, not only in the engine components themselves but also in the modifications needed to handle the increased power.

across a broad rpm range, delivering a consistent and linear power curve. This results in a smoother and more manageable power delivery, making the bike more predictable and user-friendly, especially in various riding conditions.

As an alternative, the Trask Tornado Kit provides a more economical solution to achieving impressive horsepower gains. Instead of investing in an entirely new engine, the Trask Tornado Kit is designed to bolt onto existing engines, converting them into forced induction powerhouses. This means that riders can retain their current bike and enjoy a substantial boost in performance without breaking the bank.

One of the key advantages of opting for a Trask Tornado Kit is the efficiency it brings to the power delivery. Turbos are known for their ability to provide substantial power gains

The Trask Tornado Kit is also easy to install. Building a highdisplacement motor often requires intricate modifications and adjustments, which can be time-consuming and labor-intensive. Trask Turbos are designed for relatively straightforward bolt-on installation, reducing downtime and allowing riders to experience the enhanced performance sooner rather than later.

The compact and lightweight Trask Tornado Kit also ensures that customers can enjoy the benefits of forced induction without compromising the overall handling and agility of their motorcycles. This is important for riders who value nimble and responsive bikes, as a Trask Tornado Kit offers a power boost without significantly altering the bike’s weight distribution or maneuverability.

While building a large displacement motor has its allure, the Trask Tornado Kit presents a strong case for those customers seeking an efficient, cost-effective, and reliable solution to boost their motorcycle’s performance.

With a *Tornado Turbo Kit, riders can experience the exhilaration of increased horsepower without the hefty price tag and complexities associated with building a high-displacement engine.

Gold Standard Lightweight Wheels for Performance Baggers

Now that the performance Bagger scene has been around for a while, new trends are emerging that set those bikes even further apart from traditional Baggers. One of those trends is gold anodized performance parts, and RC Components is helping lead the way.

The new Laguna wheels from RC Components are lightweight race wheels with a gold anodized finish, blending everything we love about the performance Bagger scene. These forged billet aluminum race wheels are extremely light and strong for a great-handling ride, while the design and gold finish put them at the forefront of style.

As the gold anodized trend started to take off, the team at RC Components began getting a lot of requests from customers who wanted wheels in that same finish. The Laguna wheels are the answer to those requests, and they will fit 2009-2023 Harley-Davidson Baggers.

The wheels are available in both 21-inch and 19-inch sizes for the front. Rear wheel options include 17-inch and 18inch sizes for both belt drive and chain drive bikes. There are also choices for bikes with and without ABS.

The upgrade in looks also results in a big reduction in weight, since the Laguna wheels are about 20 percent lighter on average than OEM wheels. At the same time, these wheels feature all the convenience of a stock wheel. They are DOT compliant and compatible with tire pressure monitoring systems.

Riders looking to really overhaul the front end of their Bagger can mount a 21-inch Laguna wheel plus an RC Components front fender kit for 21-inch wheels. The fender is designed to hug the tire while leaving the wheel completely visible, giving the front end a clean look that doesn’t take any attention away from that gold wheel.

The fender is stamped from 16-gauge U.S. steel, and its raw finish is ready for painting. The kit includes mounting hardware and a fender adapter, which comes in either chrome or black.

Both the Laguna wheels and the fender kit are made in the USA, just like the rest of the RC Components lineup.

While there are a lot of customers clamoring for performance Bagger parts, the team at RC Components knows that isn’t the scene for everyone. The company has a broad selection of wheel designs to make sure there’s something to suit every rider’s taste.

Take a look in the FatBook at designs like the Illusion, Revolt and Savage to get an idea of just how varied the designs

are, and just how many possibilities your customers have for creating the perfect look for their Bagger. ■

Braking Upgrades T Stopping Power

GHawg Halters’ six-piston radial calipers are robust and weigh less than OEM calipers. They’re also more rigid for better power and feedback. The company also has adapter brackets for mounting those calipers to stock fork legs.

rabbing a handful of brake for a quick stop should inspire confidence for riders on any type of motorcycle, from small machines to big heavy V-Twins. With Hawg Halters’ lineup of brake upgrades, even the fastest Harley-Davidson will slow down more quickly and consistently.

Take a look at the front wheel on pretty much any Harley and you’ll see a set of four-piston, axially mounted calipers. These are standard components, which means they have a standard appearance and standard stopping power. That will never do for a big number of your Harley customers. Hawg Halters offers a far superior caliper that’s more rigid, more powerful, and more stylish.

The six-piston radial caliper was engineered using computer analysis and the latest machining technology. It features differential bore technology for graduated pressure from the front to rear of the brake pad for better heat dispersion. With so many pistons transferring brakelever pressure to the pads, your customers will experience stronger braking with better feedback.

Hawg Halters’ six-piston radial calipers are robust, since they are machined from 6061 billet aluminum rather than cast aluminum, and often weigh less than OEM calipers. They’re also more rigid for better power and feedback. The calipers are offered in Black, Inca Gold, Machine, and Show Chrome, and include hardware to work with 11.5inch or 11.8-inch discs.

If your customers’ bikes have stock fork legs, don’t worry, Hawg Halters has adapter brackets that bolt right up. Available for 2008 through 2023 Touring models, 2016 through 2023 Softails, and 2008 through 2017 V-Rods with factory fork legs and 11.8-inch rotors, these brackets let your customers install Hawg Halters’ excellent radial brake caliper for incredible stopping power.

Each bracket is precision CNC-machined from 6061 billet aluminum and comes complete with Grade 8,

chrome-plated hardware. These brackets are designed for the popular 108mm mounting configuration with a 22.5mm offset, and the symmetrical design means they fit either the left or right fork leg for single or dual-disc applications. The bracket also comes with spacers and hardware to work with a larger 13-inch rotor.

Speaking of 13-inch rotors, that’s another common mod that yields a dramatic improvement in braking performance. A larger rotor gives the existing brake caliper more leverage for stronger stopping power, but the caliper needs to be relocated so the bigger disc fits. That’s where the axial brake caliper adapter from Hawg Halters comes in. This machined bracket moves the stock caliper out so your customers can run a big, 13-inch disc. Like the radial caliper adapter, these parts are made from premium materials and come complete with chromeplated hardware. ■

Like a Rainbow Color Windshields that Really Pop

Klock Werks’ Kolor Flare Sport windshields provide a nice pop of color, as well as improved air management.

IYour customers have a rainbow of options when it comes to the Kolor Flare lineup.

t may not have been the product Brian Klock ever envisioned riders would want, but the new Kolor windshields from Klock Werks have boomed in popularity as countless customers have opted to add a pop of color to their V-Twin fairings. Klock Werks has found itself rushing to keep up with demand, adding dozens of Kolor Flare and Kolor Sport Flare options to the existing Ice Kolor Flare windshields for 2024.

“I didn’t think it would be nearly as big a deal as it is,” Brian said. After rolling out its line of Ice Kolor windshields, with a fluorescent glow of color around the edges, Klock Werks is now racing to keep up with the demand for solid color windshields. “The Ice Kolor windshields went so big that all of a sudden we were hearing, ‘I like the Ice Green one, but I want a Real Green one. It ended up just snowballing,” Brian explained.

How did Klock Werks find itself running with a product that Brian himself admits took him by surprise? “We’re really reacting to the consumer. We have such a loyal fan base of people that know our windshields work and

that we’re the air management experts,” he said. “The fact that they can maybe get it in a different style or color is fun for them.”

Adding to the Ice Kolor Flare windshields are the even bolder Kolor Flare and Kolor Flare Sport options, available in solid color rather than the hint of color in the Ice collection. The Kolor windshields not only add a unique aesthetic touch, but are based on the same wind-tunnel tested and developed Flare and Sport Flare windshield designs. These windshield designs help provide added downforce and overall stability to the ride, while also directing air over the rider for less turbulent air and better ride comfort. The acrylic windshields are made in the USA, and are predrilled for easy mounting with the stock hardware.

Brian’s advice to dealers is the same lesson he’s recently learned: expect the unexpected. “What I’ve learned about the colors, it’s not the guy you think. You might think, ‘That guy’s a real peacock in the room, he’s going to want this color windshield,’ and he won’t be interested in it,” Brian explains. “Then you’ll have the 70-year-old guy who has a black bike who says, ‘I want that little pop of green on my motorcycle.’ You’re like, What? You? [laughs] Okay, you can have it!” ■

Full-Feature Touchscreen Fairings

Only a small number of brand names are synonymous with award-winning motorcycle fairings, and Hoppe Industries is on that list. Powersports customers can find an impressive selection of USA-made accessories from Hoppe for everything from UTVs to motorcycles, but Harley customers ought to take note of its new touchscreen fairings.

Hoppe’s touchscreen fairings are designed with classic styling that reflects 2014 and newer Harley-Davidson Batwing fairings, complemented by the modern comforts of connected audio system technology. Each fairing is built to last with OEM-quality injection molded plastic construction that’s UV stable to prevent cracking and fading.

Superb wind protection is provided thanks to a clear, 12inch windshield included with each fairing. However, should your customers want to go a different route with an OEM

or aftermarket windshield, vent trim or wind deflectors, Hoppe designed its touchscreen fairings to accept any designed for 2014 and newer Harley batwing fairings.

Touchscreen fairings are available in three configurations: The 5566 (two 5˝ and two 6˝ speakers), the 6 x 9 (two 6˝x9˝ speakers) and the Quadzilla (four 5˝ speakers). Whichever configuration your customers prefer, they can be sure they’re getting an upgrade that sounds as good as it looks. Each of these fairings comes equipped with a touchscreen audio interface boasting a 6.75˝ screen and Bluetooth wireless audio with handsfree phone, Apple Car Play and Android Auto compatibility. This functionality brings the comfort of riders’ smartphones directly to their motorcycle’s cockpit, including navigation, music and plenty more. Of course, they also retain the standard features of AM/FM radio signaled through a concealed, internal antenna.

Whichever speakers your customers choose, the sound is delivered loud, clean and clear with the help of a total of 320-watts of output from the stereo unit. Plus, each one includes front, rear and sub pre-amp outputs so riders have the connections they need should they choose to upgrade and expand their audio system.

Fairings are one of the key focal points of any motorcycle they’re affixed to, and Hoppe knows customers want them to match the look of their bike. All of Hoppe’s touchscreen fairings are delivered to customers with a polished outer fairing that can easily be painted and customized customer by customer.

Complexity of installation can always be a pain point with dealers and customers alike, but thankfully Hoppe touchscreen fairings are supplied fully assembled and ready to mount up to the motorcycle, speakers and all. ■

Hang On Grips, Handlebars and Risers

When it comes to changing the look of a V-Twin’s hand controls, swapping out the grips is something that can make a big difference in both style and comfort. Biltwell has two new grip styles with very different aesthetics, which riders can mix and match with the wide range of Biltwell handlebars and risers already available from Drag Specialties.

The Moto grips are styled just like they are named. Boasting a look that is definitely inspired by off-road designs, the Moto grips are available in both 1-inch and 7/8-inch diameters. The gray grips have a soft feel, while the black ones are medium for riders who prefer a firmer grip.

Customers who really want to lean into the off-road look for their V-Twin can pair the Moto grips with Biltwell’s Moto handlebars in black or chrome. These 1-inch handlebars look like they would be at home on a motocross track, right down to the crossbar. The chromoly tubing is shaped with a CNC bender, and the TIG-welded joints have a beautiful finish and excellent strength.

The other new grips from Biltwell are the Alumicore grips. These are a bit more traditional in terms of V-Twin styling, and they come in both dual-cable and TBW options. The 6061-T6 aluminum tubing is forged and CNC lathe-turned for a pristine finish, and the rubber sleeves stay put on the tube’s knurled surface.

The visible bits of metal on the Alumicore grips are available in a black or chrome finish. Even though the complete grip assembly comes with a black grip, there are replacement grips available in white, oxblood, chocolate and gray. This gives riders even more choice when it comes to customizing the look of their controls.

If a bike’s grips are getting an update, then chances are your customer is replacing other parts, as well. Biltwell has a huge range of risers and handlebars to complete the look. The Murdock risers, for example, are available in multiple heights, including 6 inches, 8 inches and 10 inches. These risers are TIG-welded from steel with a one-piece top clamp. The handlebar clamp bolt patterns fit the speedometer and tach brackets for a lot of Harley-Davidson models, making them an easy swap for many customers.

While handlebar designs like the Moto have an off-road style, Biltwell also has distinct V-Twin designs like the angular Keystone and, of course, traditional ape hangers. There are more casual designs, too, like the Rebar. With so many different handlebar designs and heights to choose from, there a lot of possibilities for riders to change up the look of their bike. ■

Power Boost Performance Cams for Indian Models

Camshafts play a huge role in an engine’s power characteristics. When the intake and exhaust valves open, and for how long, help determine where in the rpm range an engine makes its power. Since cams have such a big influence on engine character, the pros at Andrews offer two options each for Indian’s FTR, Scout and Thunder Stroke 111-equipped models.

Andrews has mild grinds as well as aggressive grinds available to spice up your customers’ Indians, but before we discuss the specific options let’s take a quick look at some of the things you and your customers should con sider when choosing a cam.

Is the bike mostly ridden around town and on the highway for two-up touring, or is it being wrung out for maximum power at the drag strip? What else has been done to the motorcycle that might affect how the cams work? Is the motor mostly stock or is it running high-compression pistons that can take advantage of long-duration cams?

These factors are important to consider, since too much cam can result in disappointing low-rpm throttle response and power. The fact is, streetbikes often perform better and feel faster with a mild cam, since a more conservative grind concentrates torque at lower rpm where the rider spends most of their time.

Andrews cams are an easy way to boost torque and horsepower. The company offers a number of solutions for your Indian Motorcycle customers, each tailored for the model they have and the riding they do.

The TS570 grind is a good option for customers with Indian models featuring that powerful Thunderstroke 111 engine. It’s an upgrade for when that Thunderstroke has been modified.

Whether your customers are looking for more power for around-town riding or building a competition machine, Andrews cams are an easy way to boost torque and horsepower.

Indian’s 111 engines are already a performance favorite, but a trio of Andrews cams can really ramp things up. The TS550 grind (EMIS Code 3) offers a boost in power between 2000-6000 rpm, works with the stock valve springs, and is a good fit for stock or mildly modified engines. The next step up is the TS570 grind (EMIS Code 3), which adds even more lift and duration. These cams require high-lift valve springs and are designed for use with modified engines. The TS570s shuffle power up the tachometer into the 2200-6500 rpm range.

Andrews SC 420 cams (EMIS Code 3) are a great option for increasing the Scout’s performance. These bolt-in street cams provide more torque and horsepower from 1800 to 6500 rpm for all-around riding. The SC 450 cams (EMIS Code 3) are more aggressive and pile on the pulling power when used with high-compression pistons, porting, etc.

Indian’s FTR engine is a hot rod, with DOHC, four valves per cylinder, and a stout 12.5:1 compression ratio. The FTR

Indian’s FTR engine is a hot rod, and the FTR 420 cam is a bolt-in option suitable for stock or lightly modified street bikes.

Andrews SC 420 cams are an option for increasing the Scout’s performance. These bolt-in street cams provide more torque and horsepower from 1800 to 6500 rpm for all-around riding.

420 cam (EMIS Code 3), like the SC 420 cam, is a bolt-in option suitable for stock or lightly modified street bikes. If your client is building a big-bore ripper, point them toward the FTR 450s. This grind favors high-rpm power and plays well with other performance mods. ■

Great Grips with that Personal Touch

motorcycle’s grips are one of the first places a rider makes contact with a bike. When it comes time to upgrade such an important part of their motorcycles, let your customers know that Avon Grips provide that right personal touch.

Following the success of the popular Custom Contour grips, Avon Grips has introduced the new Diamond Contour. Made, assembled and packaged in the USA from its factory in Kingwood, Texas, these latest from Avon are built using the same premium materials as the Custom Contour, such as Kraton Rubber and billet aluminum for quality that your customers can see and feel.

The Diamond Contour grips offer a slim profile for optimum comfort – the overall diameter is slightly smaller in size than stock Harley-Davidson grips. The diamond-shaped pattern provides a cushioned texture that is not only soft and comfortable to the touch, but helps keep hands in place with a tacky grip. The durable compound also helps to reduce the effects of arm pump and hand fatigue over the long stints in the saddle, with or without gloves.

Avon’s Diamond Contour grips come in two styles, and in either black or chrome.

The Avon Diamond Contour grips are available now in assorted styles with billet aluminum ends, both in classic flat-end for a clean finish, or spiked-end for a more aggressive look. The Check Engine Light Fix High-Quality Electrical Components

MFeuling has a lineup of fuel injectors ranging from direct OE replacement parts to high-flow injectors suitable for thirsty custom builds.

odern Harley-Davidsons rely on numerous electronic components to monitor and manage the engine’s operation. Like any part, these sensors can fail, causing running issues or perhaps rendering your customer’s bike inoperable. If a check engine light has popped up on your customer’s dash and a sensor needs replacing, Feuling has what you need to fix the problem.

Feuling manufactures a range of electronic parts, from the MAP sensors for the intake all the way back to the O2 sensors for the exhaust. As tuning and reliability experts, Feuling has developed a lineup of fuel injectors ranging from direct OE replacement parts to high-flow injectors suitable for thirsty custom builds.

A bike’s oxygen sensor plays an important role in fuel economy and drivability, but these sophisticated parts don’t last forever. Oxygen sensors typically have a service life of about 30,000 to 50,000 miles, so keeping Feuling’s premium, American-made O2 sensors in stock is a good idea.

Feuling also offers replacement TPS for accurate throttle info, Idle Air Control Modules for proper idling, MAP sensors to ensure the motor knows exactly how much air it’s ingesting, coolant and head-temp sensors to provide accurate info to the ECM, fuel regulators to ensure proper fuel flow under all conditions, and more. ■

stock without changing levers, adding another layer of tunability for a fine-tuned feel. Anthem Pro levers elevate style, too, with a matte black finish and optional colors in adjusters and lever ends.

PSR can also help your customers when they’re off the bike. Sometimes motorcycles need to be trailered or loaded up in the truck, but finding a secure tie-down point that won’t cause damage can be tough. PSR’s BTC tie-down clamps provide a versatile solution to that problem, allowing customers to create a secure tie-down point on everything from cruisers to UTVs.

Complete with an anti-slip, scratch protective rubber liner and anodized gunmetal finish, BTC clamps’ patented design ensures they’re built to last. These clamps are available in small, medium and large sizes, giving riders plenty of options to hook to engine guards, handlebars, grips and many other options. ■

» Off the bike and on, let PSR help you equip your customers with control-inspiring parts. Talk to your Drag rep for more details on PSR parts, check them out in the FatBook and at www.dragspecialties.com.

High-Quality Lines, Cables and Handlebars

ith motorcycles, a lot of the functional parts are on display. That means the parts doing the hard work need to look every bit as good as the parts that are just for aesthetics. Magnum Shielding has a wide range of aftermarket cables, brake lines, ignition wires, banjos, handlebars, kits and more, all featuring quality and style.

Precise fitment is a must, too, and as a Tier-1 supplier to Harley-Davidson, the company prides itself on perfect fitments – including in alternate lengths – for most Harleys, with model fitments dating back to the 1970s. In business since 1982, Magnum Shielding has decades of experience and knowledge about what makes a product shine.

A perfect example of this blend of quality, fit and finish can be seen from Magnum Shielding’s Signature braided product lines.

Available in finishes to suit both chromed and blackedout bikes, all the Signature brake lines and cables match to provide a clean, cohesive look.

The brake lines are reinforced with DuPont Kevlar aramid fibers to significantly reduce brake hose expansion. The result is highperformance braking that is predictable and powerful. Control cables feature antifriction liners, internal seals and factory lubrication for years of dependable use. A non-yellowing outer jacket protects all Signature braided products.

Magnum’s XR series offers a more economical option, mimicking the OE style and forgoing the premium braid without sacrificing premium fit and function. ■

Sintered Solution Performance Brake Pads for V-Twins

With Galfer’s HH sintered brake pads, stopping a heavy V-Twin is smooth and predictable.

The modern performance capabilities of V-Twins means they’re making the brakes work harder than ever. Brake pads have to stand up to the weight of the bike, as well as the more aggressive riding style that is possible these days. With HH sintered brake pads from Galfer, stopping a V-Twin is smooth and predictable.

The HH sintered pads are made from advanced composites that can withstand higher temperatures than the standard semi-metallic pads. The result is that riders

can confidently brake harder with the HH sintered pads, knowing the pads are going to continue to provide predicable stopping power even as the braking system heats up.

The HH friction rating means there is excellent braking feel and modulation, making these pads ideal for more aggressive riding styles, even on heavier bikes. They work great on V-Twins because they were designed for V-Twins.

The pads are easy on the rotors to keep the entire system working well. The HH sintered pads pair well with Galfer WAVE or CUBIQ rotors to provide a high-performance braking setup designed specifically for Harley-Davidson applications.

Galfer offers the HH sintered pads for front and rear braking setups on a wide range of Harley models as well as select Indian models. ■

CRoad Trip Ready

One Part Number, Many Fitments

hances are, many of your customers have more than one motorcycle. Nelson-Rigg has just made it a lot easier to swap saddlebags from one bike to the other with the updated Route 1 Road Trip saddlebags. Just one part number works for more than 40 different models.

Originally, the saddlebags fit a selection of Harley-Davidson models. Now, that list includes more Harley fitments as well as models from Indian and five other motorcycle brands.

Each set of saddlebags arrives with all the mounting hardware necessary for every bike model included on the fitment list. A handy diagram directs riders which hardware to use for their bike and how to mount the saddlebags. By including all the hardware in one package, riders with multiple bikes don’t need to order additional parts: that one part number covers it all.

The bags are made from Nelson-Rigg’s proprietary UltraMax fabric, which provides incredible UV protection so the fabric won’t fade or degrade under the effects of the sun. And like all Nelson-Rigg Route 1 luggage,

The updated Route 1 saddlebags now offer great storage and versatility to a wider range of Harley-Davidson fitments.

these saddlebags carry the company’s generous lifetime warranty, including no fading.

Each Road Trip saddlebag has 9.5 liters of capacity, including a roomy, rigid main compartment and an outer pocket with internal elastic straps. Other perks include waterproof rain covers, lockable zippers and MOLLE panels to attach smaller items. The self-fastening yoke is adjustable and detachable for easy switching between bikes. ■
