I extend a warm welcome to everyone associated with Brickfield Rangers here in South Wales, especially at the Orange Llama Stadium.
Reflecting on our last match, a local derby, it was a thrilling encounter characterised by significant challenges, stunning goals, and high intensity. Bridgend Street exceeded my expectations with their organised play and effective passing. They deserved their lead, and although we equalised through a fortunate goal, Harry's remarkable saves kept us in contention.
Ultimately, our fitness proved decisive, highlighted by Sam Cawley's brilliant goal and Ibby Sani scoring his first league goal.
Today presents a different challenge as we know little about Brickfield Rangers. We must prepare diligently and execute our strategies effectively. I hope you all enjoy the game today and look forward to seeing you again soon.

Charlie Hansen-Taylor is quickly becoming a fan’s favourite at Cardiff Draconians.
Hansen-Taylor, who only joined the Dracs in the summer from Cwmbran Celtic, has helped the Dracs climb up the table, where they sit second in the Ardal Southern South West, and a place in the third round of the FAW Amateur Trophy, where the Dracs will face Brickfield Rangers this afternoon.
The high-flying defender shares with Media Officer Joshua Thomas his thoughts on beating Bridgend Street, finding his feet, becoming the second family member after his Dad, Barry Hansen -Taylor, to play for the club and facing Rangers at the Orange Llama Stadium.
JT: How great was it to return to winning ways against Bridgend Street?
CHT: Yeah, it was great to be able to bounce back, especially in a derby game. So, it meant a bit more to us after a disappointing result away to Goytre earlier in the week, where I felt we played well and deserved to come away with more.
JT: How great was the performance, some clinical finishing and a screamer from Shirley, just how pleased were you with the performance?
CHT: Yeah, it was a good performance but one I definitely feel we can improve on. I thought we kept the ball well but could’ve had another two or three goals, but fair play to Shirley he took his goal well. Also, the goals we conceded were poor and come from our mistakes, so, I feel this is something we need to work on going forward.
JT: To sit in second place with 21 points from nine games is a decent return, how pleased are you with your start to the season?
CHT: Yeah, we are still unbeaten in the league. We have had a good start; we have to keep working hard and take each game as it comes.
JT: You have been with the club since the summer now how are you settling in?
CHT: Yeah, I am settling in well. The lads and coaches, everyone really has been great with me coming over. Nana (Baah) told me the plans for the season and with the club going forward and I felt it was a really exciting opportunity for me.
JT: What made this club appeal to you at the time of your signing?
CHT: When I spoke to Nana, he talked me through the plan of working toward promotion and helping get the Dracs to the Cymru South and how he wants to help develop me as a player was the main selling points and knowing a few people involved in the club as well as my Dad playing here previously.
JT: Tell me more about your Dad, when did he play here, what position and what are your memories of the Dracs through him?
CHT: He was a striker; he was before my time when my Dad was at the Dracs, but he has always spoken positively about his time at the Dracs and told me how much he enjoyed playing there and how great a club it is.
JT: How great is to follow in his footsteps, what has he told you about the Dracs?
CHT: Yeah, it’s great, he told me how much of a family club and how it’s at the heart of the community how passionate everyone is at the club.
JT: Towards the end of last season, the side were in good from which transferred over to this campaign run, how great is it to be part of a team in good form and what needs to be done to keep that going forward?
CHT: Yeah, it is obviously a competition we are looking to do well in and hopefully get some silverware. I don’ much about them but I’m sure it will be a tough test I looking forward to it
JT: Of course, being home does that give you the mental
CHT: Yeah, being at home is great, being in the heart of the front of our fans. I always look forward to
JT: There have only been two defeats so far this season, with both coming in cup competitions, how important is to go out there and get the win and progress in the FAW Amateur Trophy?
CHT: Yeah, this is a trophy we are looking to do well in, so hopefully a good performance and result on Saturday and get our name in the hat for the next round.
JT: There is still a long way of the season left but how far can the Dracs go?
CHT: Yeah, there is still a long way to go but the aim from the start was to win the league and get the Dracs to the Cymru South. It’s a talented group so if we keep working hard taking every game as it comes. I don’t see why we can’t achieve this.

The Dracs welcomed fellow Cardiff based side Bridgend Street to the Orange Llama Stadium for an entertaining Ardal Southwest League derby. Street came into the game full of confidence, off the back of a 4-1 home win against Clydach in their previous outing. And they showed their intentions early on, when seasoned campaigner Jeff White expertly headed home a Conor Jones freekick to give the visitors an early lead.
The Dracs grew into the game as the first half progressed and were eventually rewarded with an overdue slice of luck. Some untidy play resulted in an awkward ball bouncing unkindly off Jayden Allen and rolling into an empty Street net, giving the Dracs a 37th minute equaliser.
After the break the home side took control, but the game stood in the balance with the visitors looking to capitalise on any opportunity to counterattack. However, it was magic, not luck which tilted things in the Dracs favour. Sam Cawley lined up a free kick on the edge of the box and promptly dispatched the ball into the top left-hand corner, past a helpless Lack. The Orange Llama erupted.
However, it was Ibby Sani who put the game beyond doubt in the 94th minute, regaining his composure to score from the spot after being fouled when through on goal. The decision to award a penalty may have been contentious, but the result wasn’t and the 3 points keeps the Dracs within touching distance of top spot and maintains our unbeaten start to the league campaign
Bridgend Street made changes to try and rescue something from the game, but it was the Dracs who struck the decisive third goal, Sam Roberts converting calmly from the penalty spot, making it 1 with his 8th league goal in 9 games.
There might have been a twist in the tail as Street took advantage of a late lapse in concentration, with Ben Siggins heading home their second to give the visitors hope of a comeback.

The Dracs over 40’s picked up their 2nd win on the bounce in an entertaining game in Caldicot on Sunday. In what was a scrappy first half, Martin Strange opened the scoring for the Dracs, racing through to give us a lead which we kept until half time.
After the break, the home side quickly found an equaliser before some clever team play saw Robert Fowler open his account for the club. Corries then took the initiative and swung the game in their favour with two goals in quick succession. Nick Elston in the Dracs goal was busy all afternoon, making some outstanding saves to keep the game close.
And it paid off when Rinaldo (Mashaka Kumbakisaka) was able to help a ball over the flailing Corries keeper to even up the game with 15 minutes to go. Fittingly it was Fowler, on his debut who raced onto a Lee Gardiner pass to grab the decisive 7th goal of the game. The Dracs now look forward to their 5th game of the season, a local clash with Thornhill Vets next Sunday.
