Oneofmyprimaryactivities(andpassion)isrunninganon-profit,The CenterforGlobalInitiatives,andsoIcreatedapublicannualreportor reviewofwhat’sbeendoneandwhat’scomingupintermsofthework andprojects.SomeofthesecandodoubledutyasupdatestoGuideStar ratingsorGreat-Nonprofitsrankingsaswell.Thisarticlewillserveasthe 2025look-backforourCenter’sworkaswell.Andhonestly,it’shardto separateandparseallthatIdointospecificcategories.
Againthisyear,IthoughtI’dtakeacreativeleapandcombinebothinto onearticlewithapologiesinadvanceforitslength.Ithinkthereasonfor thiswasthatasIdrewupmynotesforwhatweretobecometwo separatepieces,IkeptseeinganoverlapandIbegantohavedifficulty parsingwhatactivityfitintowhatcategory.Itthen(finally)occurredtome thatinmyapproachtolivingafulllife,myworkprovidesnotonly purpose,butit’sfueledbypassion.Theresultsaretangibleprojectsand results,asI’llsooncover,butalso,Ihavecometorealize,thereisachainreactionthatyieldsby-productsofjoy,excitement,energy,andthat combo-packishousedinacrucibleofgratitude.

Ourfundingof7,803,900Tanzanianshillingswillbeusedtoprovide educationfortheorphansandnutritiousmealsforthoselivingwithAIDS. Whiletheyareinkindergarten,theyreceiveacupofnutritiousporridge whichhelpsthemtotaketheirdailyARVmedication.TheARVsare providedfreeofchargeviaUSAID’sARVmedicationprogramforpeople livingwithAIDS. Currently,eightchildrenundertheircareareHIV+.
