KING’S BINGO

The Maxwell Center will be attending Galveston County’s Favorite Bingo Hall, King’s BINGO. They pay out $2,500 per session in winnings. All of their proceeds go to charity. Bingo is a fun and entertaining way to support your community and win money all at the same time! Join us as we make a day trip to King’s BINGO on Monday, June 12th. We will be departing from Jimmy Burke Activity Center at 11:30 AM. When we check in you will have the option to pay for either one session for $7 per person or two sessions $14 per person. You will receive 12 paper cards per session along with a free King’s Bingo Dauber per person.

WICKED MUSICAL

Wicked, broadway sensation, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz, but from a different angle. Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another girl, born with emerald-green skin, smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships until the world decides to call one good, and the other one wicked. Join us as we travel to the Hobby Center on Friday, June 30th to watch the musical that The New York Times called “the defining musical of the decade.” Consessions will be offered 90 mins prior to the performance and during intermission, offering an assortment of candies, snacks and beverages, including wine and cocktails. We will be leaving from the Maxwell Adult Center at 7:15 PM and the musical will be 2 hours and 45 mins. *Seating is walking accessible and wheelchair seating if needed.*

HOUSTON ASTROS GAME

Let’s take a trip to Minute Maid Park and watch an Astros game! As the 2022 World Series Champions, watching them play is truly an experience. We will be sitting in a section that is easily accessible with minimal stairs. Space for this event is limited and registration will close on Wednesday, June 28th. Game will be against the Seattle Mariners. Meet us at the Maxwell Adult Center to check-in at 6:15 PM as we will depart at 6:30 PM.

HOUSTON INTERACTIVE ZOO DAY TRIP

Join us as we travel to the Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve! It is an exciting adventure for children and adults alike! The facility features thousands of SEA LIFE and EXOTIC ANIMAL species. They have a variety of Reptiles, Marine life, Various Exotic Birds, Mammals and SO MUCH MORE! There is a registration fee of $12, which will go towards your entrance fee. Extra attractions are not included but you are more than welcome to purchase them at the location. We will be departing from Jimmy Burke Activity Center at 10:30 AM to get lunch before hand.

SENIOR TRIP: NEW ORLEANS

November 27th - December 1st

Maxwell presents a 5 day, 4 night trip to New Orleans from November 27th through December 1st. This trip costs $617 a person for double occupancy which includes transportation, 8 meals, a guided tour and many other sights to see. Meet at the Jimmy Burke Activity Center to check-in at 7:45 AM. Ad we will depart at 8 AM. Final payment is due on September 30th, 2023.

WINERY TOUR DAY TRIP

Join us on Friday, July 21st, as we travel to Clear Creek Vineyards for a fun day of wine tasting and informative wine & distillery tours! For a day, you can experience the art of wine at Clear Creek Vineyards' state of the art Winery & Distillery. They have been handcrafting award winning varietals for all types of wine lovers in the heart of Kemah, Texas. We will be starting off with their Wine & Distillery tour, where they will be giving attendents a souvenir wine glass then from there we will be doing wine tasting! We will be departing from Maxwell Adult Center at 2:15 PM.

SPACE CENTER GRANDPARENT DAY

Join us for an exciting trip to Space Center Houston with your grandkid(s) as a last hoorah before they go back to school! There will be more than 400 things to see and do at Space Center Houston, including many exhibits, two films, four live shows, several artifact galleries, Independence Plaza, the NASA Tram Tour, films and more. There are three virtual-reality rides that are not included (additional $8 and $10 per ride per person). We will be stopping for lunch after the Space Center adventure, price of lunch not included. Registration fee is $20 per person. Meet at the Jimmy Burke Activity Center to check-in at 9:30 AM as we will depart at 9:45 AM.
