The J is home to an award-winning, A.P.P.L.E. accredited preschool and has earned a sterling reputation for the level of care and education it provides to its students. The J partnered with Temple Bat Yam to open a second quality preschool in Fort Lauderdale. At the Baer Family Early Childhood Learning Center, children learn social and school readiness skills and take the first steps toward independence and a strong academic future. Our preschoolers run, cook, play, grow, communicate, socialize and most of all, thrive!

In 2021, the David Posnack Jewish Community Center and Temple Bat Yam partnered to host the inaugural Baer Cup Golf Classic, presented by Baer’s Furniture at the Woodmont Country Club. Close to 200 golfers, corporate partners, community leaders, volunteers, and philanthropists participated in the inaugural Baer Cup Golf Classic. The sold-out tournament raised thousands of dollars so that the David Posnack Jewish Community Center can continue to offer muchneeded programs and services to the children at the Baer Family Early Childhood Learning Center at Temple Bat Yam in Fort Lauderdale, the Susan & Saul Singer Early Childhood Learning Center on our Davie campus, Camp Kadima and our Giborim United programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities. These programs are open to everyone regardless of faith, ethnicity, age, or ability.
Our Camp Kadima and Giborim United programs are housed on the David Posnack JCC’s Davie campus and are widely recognized for embracing diversity, inclusion, and compassion. In addition, our award-winning Camp Kadima offers a phenomenal eight-week camp experience to over 700 campers during the summer months, including an inclusion camp for those with developmental disabilities. Giborim United programs cater year-round to participants ages six years and older by providing fitness, arts, and life/work skills activities such as karate, cooking, swimming, finance, hip hop, and movie making.
A shotgun start sends a full course of foursomes on an entertaining journey through 18 holes of interactive golf at Woodmont Country Club. Participants will receive lunch on arrival, food, and beverage cart service on the course throughout the day, and will enjoy an award and dinner reception following the golf outing.
