The right system for the application How do you select the right pressure booster system for your building? An over-dimensioned system wastes energy. That is not a sustainable situation and is more expensive than is necessary. If the system is under-dimensioned it will result in extra noise and a lack of water pressure. Determining the right size of the system starts with an accurate calculation. Technical advisors convert the details from a building into designing a customised booster. By correctly calculating the system based on the periods of average water demand, energy savings are made, peak time water pressure delivered and optimal efficiency achieved.

A booster system customised for the application is a good return on investment. This is particularly true if we apply variable speed control. Using variable speed means that the pumps run more slowly when water demand is low, resulting saving an average of 35% less power than with a simple fixed speed system. Plus, a system equipped with an efficient IE5 motor can save an additional 13% in energy.

‘Optimal performance is achieved differently in every application.’
