Enjoy an Incredibly Diverse Line-up at DCA The new season’s programming is all about high quality diversity at Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek. Main Stage debuts include a local film (“June Falling Down” on 6/29), hip-hop/reggae dance band Michael Franti & Spearhead (7/6), legendary folk rockers America (7/7), Motown legends The Temptations (7/20), singer/pianist Bruce Hornsby (7/24), folk luminary Arlo Guthrie (10/8), and The Simon and Garfunkel Story (10/16). Returning artists include local favorites: Western swing pioneers Asleep at the Wheel (6/26), bluegrass musician Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder (8/6), the “secular gospel” band Birds of Chicago and southern rocker Luther Dickinson (a double bill on 8/21) and the remarkable Indigo Girls (8/25). Other notable events include a tribute to Door County’s own pAt mAcdonald by the artists of Steel Bridge Songfest on 7/29 (“The Future’s So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades”). Northern Sky Theater’s fall show is the world premiere of a new musical comedy, Naked Radio (9/1 - 10/21).
