IS GOD WORKING THROUGH ME BY HIS HOLY SPIRIT?
DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT YOU ARE GOD’S TEMPLE AND THAT GOD’S SPIRIT DWELLS IN YOU?”
1 CORINTHIANS 3:16 (ESV]

GOD HIMSELF IS LIVING IN US THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT
When we receive salvation through Jesus Christ, we don’t just receive forgiveness — we receive God Himself. Through the Holy Spirit, God dwells within every believer, not just with us, but in us. This is the ultimate sign of intimacy, transformation, and divine partnership.
1. THE INDWELLING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?” — 1 Corinthians 3:16 (ESV)
You are no longer just flesh and bone you are a living temple, a carrier of God’s presence. This is not a metaphor; it’s a spiritual reality.
2. JESUS PROMISED GOD WOULD MAKE HIS HOME IN US
“If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”
John 14:23 (ESV)
Through the Holy Spirit, both the Father and the Son dwell in you. You are not alone you carry the fullness of God’s love and power wherever you go.
3. CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY
“To them God chose to make known... the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” Colossians 1:27 (ESV)
The Holy Spirit is the manifestation of Christ in you. That’s why you don’t just follow Christ from afar you live in union with Him.
4. THE SPIRIT GIVES YOU THE MIND AND NATURE OF GOD
“But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:16
“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life... so that you may participate in the divine nature. — 2 Peter 1:3–4
Because God lives in you, you are now empowered to think like Christ, act like Christ, and love like Christ.
You carry divine authority and heavenly power inside of you.
You are never alone God’s Spirit is your Counselor, Comforter, and Companion.
You are equipped to represent Christ on earth as His ambassador. You are being transformed daily by the Spirit into God’s image.

When we think about health and fitness, strong muscles often come to mind. But what happens when muscles begin to shrink, weaken, or disappear altogether? This condition, known as muscular atrophy, can affect anyone—from the elderly and injured to those with chronic illnesses. Understanding muscular atrophy is the first step toward prevention, management, and in many cases, recovery.
Muscular atrophy refers to the wasting or loss of muscle tissue, which leads to muscle weakness and reduced physical function. In simple terms, it’s when muscles shrink because they are not being used or due to a disease process that damages the nerves or tissues that support them.
THERE ARE TWO MAIN TYPES:
Disuse Atrophy – Caused by lack of physical activity. For example, being bedridden, having a cast, or living a sedentary lifestyle.
2. Neurogenic Atrophy – Caused by nerve problems that prevent muscles from receiving signals from the brain. This includes conditions like multiple sclerosis (MS), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), or spinal cord injuries.
Prolonged inactivity (e.g., hospitalization or immobility)
Injury or surgery (especially involving bones, joints, or nerves)
Neurological diseases
Malnutrition or lack of proper nutrients (especially protein)
Aging (known as sarcopenia, a natural muscle loss process)
SYMPTOMS TO WATCH FOR
Noticeable decrease in muscle mass
Muscle weakness or stiffness
Difficulty walking, climbing stairs, or lifting objects
Numbness or tingling (in neurogenic atrophy)
Decreased balance and coordination
If these symptoms persist, medical evaluation is critical for proper diagnosis and intervention.

HOW IS IT DIAGNOSED?
DOCTORS MAY USE:
Physical exams to evaluate strength and mass
MRI or CT scans to view muscle tissues
EMG (electromyography) to test nerve signals
Blood tests to rule out other conditions or check nutrient levels
IS THERE HOPE FOR RECOVERY?
Yes muscle atrophy can be reversed or improved, especially when detected early. Treatment plans vary depending on the cause:
1. EXERCISE & PHYSICAL THERAPY
The cornerstone of recovery. Resistance training, stretching, and aerobic exercises help rebuild strength and improve mobility.
2. NUTRITION
A diet rich in protein, omega-3s, and vitamins D and B12 can support muscle growth and nerve function. In cases of malnutrition, supplements may be prescribed.
3. MEDICATIONS & MEDICAL TREATMENT
Anti-inflammatory drugs, nerve-related medications, or treatment for underlying conditions may be necessary.
Braces, walkers, or electrical stimulation devices can assist with movement and muscle reactivation.
LIVING WITH OR PREVENTING MUSCULAR ATROPHY
For those at risk—like the elderly, bedridden, or chronically ill—prevention is key:
Stay physically active as much as possible
Stretch and move daily, even if it's from a chair or bed
Get regular health screenings
Maintain a balanced diet with proper hydration
Seek physical therapy early after injuries or surgeries
Muscular atrophy may seem discouraging at first, but with faith, action, and support, many people can regain strength, mobility, and confidence. Your body is resilient created by God with the power to heal and adapt.
Don’t ignore the signs. Whether you or a loved one is experiencing symptoms, remember that transformation physical, emotional, and spiritual is possible.
