Grounded in biblical principles, our mission is to nurture young minds with content that encourages confidence, creativity, leadership, and a heart for service. Through uplifting stories, engaging activities, and faith-based teachings, we aim to instill values of kindness, perseverance, and integrity. interview with Olivia curry
At just 13 years old, Olivia Curry is already making a difference in her school, her church, and her community. As an 8th grader with a passion for learning, Olivia is active in volleyball, choir, and her church’s “Morning Meditation” program. Her heart for service shines through as she joyfully helps in the church kitchen during events and finds purpose in working with young children. Olivia dreams of one day becoming an attorney a voice for truth, justice, and compassion. With strong faith, a love for people, and a growing sense of purpose, Olivia is walking boldly into her calling and setting an inspiring example for her generation.
T4RMJ: Tell us a little about yourself. What makes Olivia... Olivia?
OC: My religious beliefs and my unique personality.
T4RMJ: What’s one thing you’ve learned about yourself this school year?
OC: Everyone that you meet is not necessarily your friend, and I have learned that friendship is not a guarantee just because you know someone.
T4RMJ: How did you get involved in “Morning Meditation” at church? What do you enjoy most about it?
OC: Everyone of a certain age is assigned a week, and then you just choose the scripture that you wanna talk about. I can share more of the scripture's meaning with older adults.
T4RMJ: Is there a favorite Bible verse or quote you like to reflect on during your quiet time?
OC: Yes, Jeremiah 29:11.
T4RMJ: What does faith mean to you as a young teen today? You are part of the volleyball team what’s your favorite position to play and why?
OC: I think faith is to strongly believe in something and being able to defend it, and my favorite position is middle because I can spike a lot!
T4RMJ: What’s one lesson you’ve learned through playing volleyball that helps you in life?
OC: That sometimes, when people test you just need to keep your head up and be the bigger person.
T4RMJ: How does it feel to sing in the choir? Do you have a favorite song you love performing?
OC: I like choir, it's fun, and I like watching it back even though it can be a little weird sometimes. I don’t think I have a favorite song, because I have really bad stage fright when I sing by myself, so I like the choir better.
T4RMJ: What role does music play in your spiritual life and your everyday life?
OC: I love worship, especially when I go to church camp and youth group, it just makes me feel a lot closer to God. And I love music when I get stressed because it helps me decompress.
T4RMJ: You love helping in the kitchen at church events what’s your favorite dish to help prepare or serve?
OC: Peach Cobbler, because I like to bake a lot!
T4RMJ: What’s one memory that stands out from volunteering in the kitchen?
OC: I think the memory that stands out for me is this one time..., so I go to a really small church and we had a guest speaker, and my church only lasts about an hour, but this guy was talking for at least 3 hours, and I remember we kept having to relight the stenos because we never knew when he was gonna finish.
T4RMJ: Why do you think it’s important for young people to serve in church?
OC: Yes, because I feel like it helps a lot of people my age to not focus on ourselves and our images or appearances with makeup and how our clothes are or are not cool.
T4RMJ: What do you love most about working with toddlers and young children?
OC: I just love how kind they are and funny, and you just never know what to expect.
T4RMJ: If you could create your own children’s program at church, what would it look like?
OC: It would probably be a room painted blue, and it would have a lot of toys and children's books, and it would be a very lively and fun place. We would have music playing, and we would have dancing circles, and a baby youth group, depending on your age.
T4RMJ: What’s one thing you’ve learned from being around younger kids?
OC: That you can have kindness in any situation.
T4RMJ: You’re interested in becoming an attorney what inspired that dream?
OC: This might sound really silly, but I'm really good at arguing with people and persuading them, too!
T4RMJ: If you were a lawyer today, what kind of cases would you want to work on and why?
OC: Probably a public defender to help people who can’t afford good representation.
T4RMJ: Do you think being a Christian can help you be a better attorney someday?
OC: Yes.
T4RMJ: How?
OC: If someone doesn’t have hope just because they don’t have money, I can tell them they should always have hope because God is always with them, and encourage them.
T4RMJ: Who is someone you admire and why?
OC: My nana because of how hard she works to give me everything I have.
T4RMJ: How do you stay organized with all the things you’re involved in school, sports, church, and more?
OC: I mean, sometimes it is a little stressful, but I like to keep a calendar to help me stay organized.
T4RMJ: What does being a leader mean to you, and do you see yourself as one?
OC: A leader to me is someone who can stand their ground and not be persuaded just because others don't like it, and can make those hard decisions when push comes to shove. Yes, I see myself as a leader.
T4RMJ: What advice would you give other girls your age who want to follow their dreams?
OC: I would tell them not to give up even when things get hard, and that as long as you have God, He will always have a plan for you!
T4RMJ: If you could spend one day doing anything you love, what would that day include?
OC: I would go shopping for a little bit with my friends and maybe go to an arcade and bowling with my cousins, and just hang out and relax with my friends at a park or something.
T4RMJ: How do you want to make a difference in the world when you grow up?
OC: The difference I would make is helping people who need it most!
T4RMJ: Olivia Curry is a shining example of what it means to serve God with joy, lead with purpose, and dream with boldness. Whether she’s helping in the kitchen, singing in the choir, mentoring little ones, or preparing for a future in law, Olivia is walking in excellence and humility. Her story reminds us that age doesn’t limit purpose and that with faith, a willing heart, and dedication, anything is possible. We can’t wait to see how God continues to use Olivia to touch lives and bring light wherever she goes!

MEMORY VERSE
Hello boys and girls, I trust that learning the Bible verses are going well. Today we'll learn The Lord's Prayer if you haven't learned it already.
The Lord's Prayer is a special prayer that Jesus taught his disciples. It's a model for how we can talk to God. Here's a breakdown of the prayer:
The Prayer
"Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we have also forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever."
What does it mean?
We can call God "Father" because He loves us and takes care of us like a Father should. But He does way better than even the best father.
Hallowed be your name means we can praise God's Holy Name and recognize His greatness.
Your kingdom come tells us we can pray that God's kingdom will come to earth, and that we will live according to His will.
Your will be done tells us we can ask God to help us do what He wants us to do.
Give us our daily bread helps us to understand that He will provide if we believe and ask Him to provide our needs.
Forgiveness means we can ask God to forgive us for our mistakes and sins, but we need to forgive those who have done us wrong, too or God will not forgive us.
After this, we can ask God to make us strong enough so we will not do what the devil tells us to do, things like lying, cheating, being dishonest, or disobedient to our parents.
Then we honor who God is, He owns the entire Heaven and Earth forever! So, we need to love Him and live for Him, so we too can be a part of His Kingdom.

WHAT DOES “STEADFAST” MEAN?

“EYES TO SEE: PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN’S VISION – BODY & SPIRIT”
Our eyes are one of the most incredible gifts God gave us. Through them, we see the beauty of His creation, read His Word, recognize our loved ones, and explore the world. August is Children’s Eye Health and Safety Month, a time to focus on protecting the precious gift of sight in our little ones—physically and spiritually
. WHY EYE HEALTH MATTERS FOR KIDS
Children’s vision plays a crucial role in how they grow, learn, and experience life. According to health experts, 1 in 4 school-aged children has a vision issue that can affect learning, behavior, or development. But many of these problems go unnoticed until they interfere with daily activities.
HERE ARE SOME SIGNS A CHILD MAY NEED AN EYE EXAM:
Squinting or rubbing eyes often
Headaches or complaints about blurry vision
Difficulty reading or staying focused
Sitting very close to screens
The good news is most vision problems can be treated if caught early!
TIPS TO KEEP LITTLE EYES SAFE AND STRONG
As parents, caregivers, and educators, we can take simple steps to care for our children’s eyes:
1.Schedule yearly eye exams – even if there are no symptoms.
2.Encourage screen breaks – follow the “20-20-20 rule”: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
3.Protect eyes during sports – use safety goggles or protective eyewear.
4.Eat vision-friendly foods – like carrots, spinach, and sweet potatoes.
5.Limit UV exposure – wear sunglasses with UV protection when outdoors.
VISION FROM A SPIRITUAL PERSPECTIVE
Physical sight is important but spiritual vision is just as essential. In the Bible, Jesus often said, “He who has eyes to see, let him see.” (Matthew 13:16) He was speaking not just of eyesight, but of understanding, discernment, and the ability to recognize God’s truth.
As we care for children’s physical eyes, let’s also guide them to:
See others with compassion
Look to God for direction
Recognize truth from lies
Keep their eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2)
