THE 2030 AGENDA FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT FROM THE UNITED NATIONS:
These goals have been realistically created with a view to achieving outcomes by 2030, hence the name. Each goal has several targets and the aim is for all countries to work together to achieve these goals.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development from the United Nations is comprised of 17 individual goals for a more sustainable future.
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals each focus on a different area of sustainability. These range from tackling poverty and improving gender equality to protecting the planet and being more conscientious consumers. The goals also aim to tackle healthcare, climate change, affordable and clean energy, and decent work and economic growth, among other things.
Sustainable Development Goal 4, or SDG4, focuses on improving the quality of education and access to education for all. This includes promoting lifelong learning opportunities wherever possible and ensuring everyone has access to equitable and inclusive education. There are currently 10 targets within SDG4.
