ISTELIVE 2025 PROMISES TO INSPIRE BOLD INNOVATION

The Exhibition Hall at ISTELive features hundreds of education technology solution providers, as well as demos, hands-on activities, and much more.

ISTELive 2025 is descending upon San Antonio, Texas, from June 29 to July 2, for an amazing conference that you won’t forget!

The event is combining this year for the first time ever with ASCD Annual 25, and will feature more than 1,000 learning experiences for attendees, in

addition to opportunities to connect with education leaders and innovators from around the world. They will be able to hear about, explore, and experience the latest trends and solutions in edtech, and discover new ways to transform teaching and learning.

Attendees will also be able to learn from some of those leading positive change, including Dan Heath, Miral Kotb, Scott Shigeoka, Jason Reynolds, Jen Maestas, and Sabba Quidwai, as well as hundreds of other educators and innovators. They will be able to participate in hundreds of how-to presentations, hands-on learning sessions, live demonstrations, and thought leadership panels that will focus on the latest learning strategies and edtech trends.

“You’re learning from other people and hearing their reflections on things,” says Jennifer Ragan-Fore, ASCD + ISTE Chief Experience Officer. “Even if you’re part of the team, reach out and hear other perspectives from other schools and districts, and if you’re going individually, really try to take advantage and

make the most of those [networking/connecting] opportunities.”

Obviously, AI will be at the center of much of the discussion throughout the event, but other topics will be featured, from STEM and coding to pedagogy and teaching ethics. And of course, attendees will be able to explore the exhibit hall (see next article) to get a firsthand look at hundreds of new and updated teaching tools, platforms, and solutions.

As always, ISTELive will inspire learning and spark joy in your teaching. Hope to see you there!

HOW TO MAKE THE MOST OF ISTELIVE

If this is your first trip to ISTELive, you’ll quickly realize that there is a lot going on at any given moment. Like a kid in the candy store, you may get whiplash trying to see and do everything going on around you.

Here are some tips to help you navigate the event so that even if you don’t see everything, you’ll experience the things that are most important to you.

1. Set Clear Goals - Before you even get to San Antonio, take some time to explore the agenda, presentations, keynotes, activities, and even the lay of the land. Then decide which are essential for what you hope to accomplish during the event, and manage your schedule accordingly.

2. Network Strategically - Take advantage of breaks, social events, and dedicated networking sessions to connect with like-minded professional educators and experts in your areas of interest.

3. Attend Relevant Sessions & WorkshopsAlthough there are hundreds of options, try to choose

sessions and workshops that are directly aligned with your interests and needs. Too much of a good thing can be too much sometimes.

4. Explore The Exhibition Areas - In addition to the main exhibition hall, visit the other spaces and locations where solution providers showcase their edtech products and services. Ask questions and request demos–even if you aren’t buying, you may discover a new best practice or useful tip for a tool you already have.

5. Leverage Social Media - Follow ISTELive’s official social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube, as well as the related hashtags, to stay updated on the latest announcements, events, discussions, and more. Even post your own thoughts, images, and videos as these can connect you to new learning opportunities.

6. Take Notes And Reflect - Like many major events, the conference will fly by in a blur, so take time immediately after sessions and/or throughout the day to record important points, advice, ideas, contacts, and other key moments. Review and reflect on these to inform what actions you hope to take when you return home.

Remember, maximizing an edtech conference involves active engagement, strategic planning, and thoughtful follow-up. Enjoy!
