GOLF

October was an exciting month at the Club, highlighted by two major events the Club Championship and the Ladies Member Guest

Congratulations to all our champions: Club Champion: Sam Seligmann

1st Flight: Brett Lalor

2nd Flight: Thomas Gallant

3rd Flight: John Pruitt

Ladies Club Champion: Jillian Nimblett

Senior Ladies Champion: Kimberley Broderick (our first-ever)

Ladies Senior Net Champion: Carol Oddo

The Ladies Member Guest “The Stand Off” was a fantastic success For the first time at GCOH, the event featured a shootout between the team of Carol Oddo, Kimberley Broderick, Carrie Faulkner & Lori Bivens (Best Net) and Ashley Freeman, Manuela Emmerich, Whitney French & Jen Garrity (Best Gross) The competition came down to a thrilling chip-off, with the Net team finishing just 6 ft 4 in away and the Gross team at 3 ft. 3 in. a truly exciting finish!

Looking ahead, November brings the Men’s Senior Championship and the Men’s Member Guest, two more events we ’ re eager to celebrate together As always, if you have any feedback or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out or better yet, stop by the Golf Office. My door is always open.

GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE

Cooler temperatures and lower humidity have made for excellent golfing weather over the past month Both the Club Championship and Ladies’ Member/Guest were a success, with prime conditions across all turf areas. The outstanding course conditioning was a direct result of our team’s hard work and dedication in preparing for these events.

The Member Range Tee was overseeded in mid-October and will reopen shortly after the Men’s Member/Guest. The Tournament Range Tee is scheduled for overseeding following that event on November 10th. Its reopening will depend on weather conditions and the success of seed germination.

We hope everyone enjoys another great month of golf and, of course, plenty of turkey! Thank you, and I look forward to seeing you on the course.
