December is here, and the Club is buzzing with energy as we wrap up the year and head into a fun and festive month together. We’ve got a great mix of events, traditions, and updates to share along with a little something for everyone
We’re starting things off with Golf Assessment Day in the Golf Shop, the perfect chance to have your gear checked out and make sure you ’ re set up for success when the new season rolls around Whether you ’ re working on your game or just want to freshen up your equipment, our Golf Professionals are ready to help
One of the best parts of December at CCN is the holiday spirit that fills the Club. Our Santa Brunch is back and always brings big smiles, great food, and tons of holiday cheer. A little later in the month, we’ll come together for the Annual Member Holiday Party, a favorite tradition where everyone gets to relax, reconnect, and enjoy a festive night out.
We’ll end the year on a warm and cozy note with our New Year’s Eve Candlelight Dinner, a relaxed and elegant way to ring in 2026 with friends, family, and great food
And while we ’ re celebrating, our agronomy team is busy behind the scenes with off-season improvements across the course Their winter work helps make sure everything is in top shape when spring returns and we can’t wait for you to see the results.
We’re looking forward to a wonderful month together and can’t wait to celebrate the season with you at the Club!

As Jack Frost starts nipping at our nose and the golf season winds down, your Agronomy Team is focused on essential winter preparations and long-term course improvement projects The work we do during the winter months is vital for ensuring excellent playing conditions when spring arrives
Low temperatures and consistent morning frost are pushing the turf into winter dormancy It is crucial to remember that during a frost, the water inside the grass blades freezes. Walking or stepping on the frosted grass can severely damage the plant tissue. Please always check with the Golf Shop for frost delays before heading out to the course.
While play may be limited, our team is hard at work on tasks that are too disruptive to complete during the busy season. This month's activities include:
Bunker Drainage Improvements: We are taking advantage of dormant turf to execute necessary drainage projects, which will help prevent standing water and improve playability next season.
Tree Management: December is an ideal time for pruning and selective removals. We are addressing safety concerns, improving sunlight exposure to key playing surfaces, and preparing for potential winter storm activity. Preventative Equipment Maintenance: A significant portion of our winter work involves servicing and detailing of our maintenance equipment, which protects the club's investment and ensures we are ready to hit the ground running in the spring.
Our team is spending time reviewing the past season, evaluating improvements for next year, and planning turf chemical and fertilizer programs to ensure the right products are on hand. Our goal remains to provide the best possible conditions for your enjoyment of the game.
The entire agronomy team thanks you for a great season and wishes you and your families a safe, enjoyable holiday season and a wonderful start to the new year

As we turn the corner into December, there is a certain warmth that has settled over the club Maybe it is the glow of the holiday lights or the familiar rhythm of traditions returning For me it is that this time of year nudges me to slow down and appreciate what is right in front of me Whatever the reason, the season reminds me that CCN is at its best when the clubhouse is buzzing with people catching up sharing stories and making memories without even realizing it
Our members joined the club for lots of different reasons, but I've found the most meaningful ones have very little to do with the formal list of amenities. Sure, championship golf and great dining matter, but what really draws people in are the things that cannot be easily measured Family traditions start here without anyone planning them. From kids sneaking extra cookies at brunch to grandparents teaching the next generation how to line up a putt The elevated experience of being cared for by a team that knows your family The security of a place where you can truly exhale Social relationships happen naturally because this is the kind of environment where conversations come easily and friendships grow fast Business connections appear almost by accident in a place filled with people who value quality and community

But if there is one theme that rises above everything it is the social side of being a member at CCN The club is at its most vibrant when people are together. The laughter echoing from the dining room on a Friday night The holiday greetings exchanged in the lobby The couples lingering after dinner because they are not ready for the night to end These are the moments that make the club feel alive and remind us why belonging here is so special.
As the year winds down, I keep coming back to a thought that feels especially fitting for this season In twenty-five years, I know I would give anything to come back to exactly this moment to feel this energy and this sense of community So, I am choosing to make the most of it while I am in it Andy Bernard said it best I wish there was a way to know you are in the good old days before you have actually left them.
My hope for all of us this December is that we recognize these good old days as they are happening Enjoy the gatherings, the shared meals, and the small moments that become the stories we will tell years from now.
As a reminder, this is the last month before our initiation fees increase for new members so if you know someone who is interested in joining, we are accepting new social members for as little as $1,000 upfront to lock them in at current pricing.
Thank you for being part of this amazing community Here is to a meaningful December and an exciting start to 2026

A warm, flavorful dish perfect for winter gatherings. Ingredients:
2 pork tenderloins (about 1 lb each)
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
¼ cup pure maple syrup
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions:
1 Preheat oven to 400°F
2 Season pork tenderloins with salt and pepper
3 Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat
4.Sear pork on all sides until lightly browned, about 5 minutes.
5.In a small bowl, whisk together cranberries, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, balsamic vinegar, and garlic
6 Pour the glaze over the pork and transfer the skillet to the oven
7 Roast for 20–25 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F
8 Rest for 5 minutes before slicing

9.Serve with extra pan sauce spooned over the top.

Consider pairing this dish with a light-bodied red like Pinot Noir, or an oaked white wine such as Chardonnay
Alternatively, a dry Riesling or sparkling wine will also work well, with the acidity cutting through the richness and balancing the sweetness of the glaze
