LIVELY BUBBLES

“Crémant de Bordeaux” is one of the youngest Bordeaux appellations and has produced both white and rosé styles since the official AOC was first recognized in 1990. However, the production of sparkling wines in Bordeaux dates as far back as the early 19th century.

The harvest for crémant is exclusively manual. Common varieties for both styles include red grapes such as Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Malbec and Petit Verdot, and white grapes such as Sémillon, Muscadelle and Sauvignon Blanc.

Bubbly blends: Like many other Bordeaux wines, crémants are blends. All Bordeaux grape varieties, both red and white, are approved to produce crémant blanc and rosé. Try with seafood or tapas!

UNEXPECTED RANGE

Crémant de Bordeaux Blanc is aged for 3 years — starting on slats for 9 to 12 months, followed by 36 to 84 months aging on lees. Extended aging for crémant blanc results in lemon, hazelnut and white flowers with buttery and toasty notes.

Effervescent and lively bubbles: Featuring a pale pink hue with orange reflections, Crémant Rosé’s aromas of redcurrant, strawberry and raspberry carry over to the palate. Crémant Rosé is perfect for pairing with red fruits desserts and chocolate, or as a bubbly mixer in your favorite summer cocktail. Reach out for cocktail recipes for both styles!

Crémant de Bordeaux Rosé presents a fantastic success story: The style has seen 387% growth (from 800K 9L bottles to 4M produced) in the past 10 years.
