Because the more technical term costume is regularly linked to the term "fashion",

It never goes out if style no matter the weather you can pair your favorite jeans with your spring pieces. A few favorites that survive year after year include classic espadrilles, floral prints, and also a classic striped tee and utility jacket combo. Denim is comfortable, casual and easily elevated by swapping a few things to dress it up a bit.

Who is your role model? My mom is my biggest role model ever since I started doing pageantry she has been my number 1 supporter Aside from pageantry she’s been my inspiration for everything She’s raising both me and my baby sister all alone, and tries everyday to make sure we have everything we need She always has a positive mindset and always reminds me to never give up even if things get difficult My mom is living proof that women can truly achieve anything they want, as long as they put their mind to it She’s my inspiration, my supporter and my hero

What are your hobbies? My after-school clubs are everything to me In Middle School I was part of multiple clubs including the Student Council, International Club, Movie Club and I was a Student Ambassador Now, I am part of the Committee, the Volleyball and Soccer teams I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family especially with my dog Tony

What is it that really makes you angry? When people bully others, that truly enrages me

What motivates you to work hard? The hope of reaching my goals and aspirations, I truly believe that hard work, discipline and consistency are the key to success

What do you like most about pageants? I love the friendships and sisterhood that pageants bring into your life Meeting the girls and other amazing people is truly very gratifying and helps you become a better person and to grow in every aspect

What type of personality do you have? I consider myself as a kind, caring person, outgoing and very funny I like to laugh and just be positive, life is too short to be anything but happy

What would you like to study when you grow up? I'd love to be a Professional Actor as well as an Engineer

Why USOA?

The USOA system and I share the same values, INSPIRE, EMPOWER & UPLIFT

I believe that in pageantry you have to join a pageant where you can be yourself and that also shares the same values and beliefs as you do

Through USOA I joined a sisterhood program that promotes women empowerment, growth and help in our community

As I have mentioned in previous posts, my calling is to help others and through the USOA system I have been able to do that I have raised awareness about bullying, I have been empowered by my sister Queens, my Director

@huf anna and my amazing Coach @crystalcavey as well as I have also been able to empower others myself

EMPOWER INSPIRE UPLIFT

My platform “Speak Up” is the best example of what empower, inspire and uplift means to me

Empower to me, is giving others the power and resources needed for them to overcome difficult situations, such as bullying You have to show them that it’s possible for them to find happiness and rediscover themselves through sharing with them the necessary tools to do so

Inspire means that if I can, you can do it too! It’s all about your mindset and to never give up If you want something, if you want to better your life you can do it! Seek for help, get out of your comfort zone and just like the quote says “Impossible is nothing ” I want to show children and teens that a happy fulfilling life is just a decision away, that speaking up and not letting fear stop them is the key, once we discover our power a beautiful and positive change happens.

To Uplift means that no matter how hard things might be in people’s lives at the moment, you let them know that it’s just a temporary stage that there’s light at the end of the tunnel That they will rise, they will find happiness and will become themselves again, all it takes is for them to speak up
