This spooky month has gone fantastically for Guajome’s Key Club, with many Key Clubbers volunteering for the middle school haunted hallway dance as well as the GPPA’s Trunk n’ Treat event. On top of this, The Raising Cane’s fundraiser for Sophomore students has raised so much for Guajome’s Class of 2027. Finally, Fally Rally is just around the corner, so be sure to pay your dues, attend the meetings, and most importantly, show your spirit!
Happening at MVHS? By Isabella Ramirez
What has been happening this week is a lot of service events! We helped with many spooky events and had a blast helping! Mission Meadows had an awesome petting zoo but don't let those chickens spook you like they did to me! Temple Heights had an awesome Freaky Friday as well! In fact the kids were so sweet and helped out selling hot cocoa with our volunteers! We loved seeing everyone in their costumes and seeing everyone so happy was so heartwarming and we are glad we got to help out! Finally we are preparing for Fall Rally! We are so excited to go and we plan to practice our spirit cheers at our next meeting!
Kiwanis's Spaghetti Dinner was this Saturday, October 26th! Our El Camino members volunteered their time to help our Kiwanis run their annual dinner. We had so much fun serving and interacting with everyone who came to the dinner this Saturday. El Camino’s Key Club members had an amazing time volunteering and serving food! We can’t wait to do help our Kiwanis again in the future!
Our club rush was just this week! We had a great turnout and cannot wait for the coming term. Our Key Club has faced some difficulties the past few years, but we’re slowly finding what we can do given our resources! There are so many possibilities and we have many exciting things planned, so stay tuned!
Our Key Club is a very diverse community and with that everyone has their own experience and definition of the club! Edwin Sanchez says, “To me Key Club feels like a place where people who feel a strong desire to help their community rally around. They come to this club not because they want recognition but instead because they wish to make a difference in their community and help change it for th better...”
From our lovely president, Isha Awa says “to me, Key Club is more than ju community service- it’s about buildin a strong, inclusive community...”

Furthermore, “...no matter how big or small...that’s the essence of key club.”

El Camino High has over twenty-five clubs for their students to join. Of the clubs available, our El Camino Key Club decided to collaborate with Service Club this month! Service Club offers students more opportunities to get involved in school and their community. This month both Key Club and Service Club have decided to create a service club to celebrate Halloween's haunted season with our very loved and were given hours depending on how many cards they made.
senior citizens! Members of both clubs were given the opportunity to create a Halloween card showing their appreciation towards their community
Joining forces can make a big impact! So, steal the idea!
As leaders, it is crucial for you to establish clear guidelines for your team members and to ensure their adherence to these rules. Effective leadership entails taking responsibility for your actions, including acknowledging your mistakes gracefully and without unnecessary drama. Failing to admit when you are wrong can tarnish your reputation as a leader; it not only raises doubts about your trustworthiness but also highlights a fundamental flaw in your leadership approach. Furthermore, it’s important to avoid the practice of assigning work at the last minute. Handing out tasks near deadline generates an atmosphere of stress and urgency that ultimately compromises the quality of the work produced. This practice not only affects the morale of your team but can also lead to rushed outcomes that fall short of excellence. In numerous instances, leaders tend to project an imposing presence; However, actively promoting an environment where their colleagues feel empowered to share their thoughts and insights always creates a better environment and better results.
