Promoting Key Club at NHHS

North Hollywood High School’s Key Club started the school year strong by attending the Officer Training Conference (OTC) and promoting our club during Freshman Orientation. At OTC, officers participated in leadership workshops, connected with other schools, and gained new ideas to make this year impactful The energy and inspiration from the event motivated us to take action right away.During Freshman Orientation, Key Club members welcomed incoming students with smiles, colorful posters, and stories about our service projects. We encouraged freshmen to join and become part of a community that values leadership and service. These events set the tone for an exciting and meaningful Key Club year ahead.

Burbank High School Registration!

On the 1st of August, 2025, members, DLT, and club officers from D16S and D16N met for their annual Officer Training Conference (OTC) at North Hollywood High School. General sessions were taking place to inform members what they will be doing next as well as icebreakers Between the general sessions were 3 rounds of round robins, where you had the option to choose which room you would like to join based on its topic To start the round robins, presenters would come up with icebreakers so members could get to know each other better. The presenters informed their audience about how to become a better member in general and how to handle certain situations within the division or their home club

During July 30 to August 6th, Key Clubbers helped Burbank High School with registration for all grades. The White Tigers first helped set up and organized all textbooks into neat piles with the correct label. This system allowed for the textbooks to be found more easily. When registration started, students would enter the library and receive the help of a Key Club member to find the correct books to go with their schedule. Using an organized system, Key Clubbers reduced the long lines that previous registrations have held. With hundreds of students registering every day, the help of these Key Club members contributed greatly, allowing for registration to move at a smooth pace.

Member Recognition

Advisor: Justine Bunis (NOHO)

Ms. Bunis just recently had a baby boy! She has been supporting Key Club throughout and even after her pregnancy. She is a big help in allowing us to hold meetings in her classroom!

Member: Jose Tamayo (Burbank)

Jose exhibits great leadership skills. At any event he is at, he is always there with spirit, determination, and integrity.

Club: Providence

I have seen members and officers from Providence working hard in their new positions! Many attended the recent DCMs and their school club seems strong!

Officer: Adriana Tinajero (Poly)

Adriana has been able to stay on her game when it comes to updating members online and keeping up with her general duties as Editor. That being said, although she has only recently begun her journey as Editor, she has come to prove herself through her capabilities and qualities that help pursue the success of Poly’s home club.
