A message from your editor: What's Roaring Lions?

I hope you all are doing well as fall begins!

Hopefully, you have gotten the chance to attend a Key Club Meeting at your school to see what Key Club is all about. You should have received some information about important upcoming events, such as Fall Rally. Fall Rally will take place at Magic Mountain- contact your club president for more information and how to sign up! Another upcoming event is the Region Training Conference. RTC is an opportunity to attend workshops with fellow Key Club members on leadership, service, and much more! Enjoy reading through this October issue of the Roaring Times, and see you all next month!

A message from your LTG: What's ROARIN' Lions??

Happy October! I'm so glad to see you all getting creative with your community service and Key Club spirit—your hard work is truly inspiring!

Of course, now is PRIME TIME to sign up for FALL RALLY SOUTH!!! Fall Rally is one of the largest events of the year, held at SIX FLAGS MAGIC MOUNTAIN! Contact your club presidents to sign up and join us to experience Division Spirit Rally, meet new people, support the Pediatric Trauma Program, show your Key Club spirit, and have fun!

Make sure to also attend the D04S Spirit Nights, coming up at the end of this month!

Articles and Visuals During the month of September, Trabuco Hills Key Club members participated in a city clean up for National Clean Up Day. On this day, members were able to help clean up trash from all around the city, including streets, churches, and parks. Members were able to meet other members of the community and Key Clubbers from El Toro High School! Many of the THHS Key Club members went to the local sports park and picked up trash around the playgrounds and parking lots. Members had fun picking up trash around the park and greeting members of the community who were spending time at the park. Members also were able to socialize with each other while cleaning the city. Other members helped pick up trash at the local church and on the streets of Lake Forest. By the end of the event, different parts of Lake Forest were cleaned up! After the members hard cleaning up the trash, they enjoyed hotdogs and hamburgers while talking about club updates.

District Spotlight on Service Program Each month, the CNH District Service Projects Committee puts out a theme for service project ideas. The October Spotlight on Service Program theme is UNICEF. There are many ways to get involved with this theme. Some service ideas include: Holding an activity day for kids (with candy, games, face-paint, etc.)

Hosting a humanitarian aid workshop Host a supply drive to make hygiene kits for shelters Volunteer at local food banks Make trick-or-treat bags for children in hospitals or foster kids You can find more information about service ideas for the PTP HERE

Participate in workshops ips Various topics covered, such as leadership and service A great opportunity to make connections with other Key Clubbers!

2. Fall Rally South at Magic Mountain Support Pediatric Trauma Program Division Spirit Rally Contact your club presidents for more information and to sign up!
