A message from your editor: What's Roaring Lions?

I hope you all had a wonderful summer now that school has started! Hopefully you all have had a great start to your school year!

All clubs at your respective schools should be up and running, so be sure to stay involved for some great opportunities! If you're new to Key Club, Club Rush is a great way for you and your friends to meet your club board and learn more about our service. Be sure to keep an eye out for some division opportunities as well, such as our next DCM! Enjoy reading through this issue of the Roaring Times, and see you all next month!

A message from your LTG: HEY HEY LIONS!!

Happy August! By the time you read this, most of you have already gone back to school—I'd love to hear about your first days! (And, in case you were following my Harry Potter mission, I was able to read 4 of the 7 Harry Potter books over summer!)

As school begins, it is almost time for club rush! Remember to bring your friends to Key Club events and share the fun with them! Also, don't forget to buy our NEW 2324 D04S shirt to show off at your club rush table Good luck with the 2023-2024 school year lions!!

Articles and Visuals- Shining Summer DCM "In the month of July, many Trabuco Hills members came to D04S’ Division Council Meeting: Shining Summer. During this meeting, members were able to have fun getting to know members from other Key Clubs while bowling and making cards for first responders. The first half of the event was where members were updated on how the division is going and members from different clubs shared how their clubs are doing as well. Additionally, during the meeting, it was revealed that Trabuco Hills’ Faculty Advisor, Jake Kremer, was the Faculty Advisor of the Month. After the members of the month were revealed, members were able to shine some creativity through the cards they made while leaving appreciative messages to first responders. Members created bright and cheerful cards that showed their appreciation towards first responders, and showed off their artistic skills! Simultaneously while making cards, members tried having the highest scores with bowling. Members laughed together while making gutter balls and strikes. After the bowling ended, some bowling awards were awarded to members. These awards included, MVP, Best Cheerleader, and Best Form. By the end of the event members were able to have new friends they enjoyed bowling with and look forward to more events in the future term."

Upcoming Events Our next division event is our August Chocolate Roses DCM! At this event, we will be making Hershey Kisses roses for senior citizens. Be sure to mark your calendars for a fun day with our division!
