Just find a sunny spot in a window sill and let them grow.

avocados All you need to grow an avocado is...another avocado pit! Simply, make sure you have rinsed the pit, put three or four toothpicks into the base and suspend it in a glass of water with the pointed side facing up. Place it in a warm window sill with plenty of water and watch it grow for 2-3 weeks.Then place the rooted seed in a soiled pot and guac at the fruits of your labor..

salad Greens Stop wasting money on large containers of salad greens from the supermarket that rot in your fridge just a few short days later. Pick a few starter plants and keep them in warm, moist soil that gets plenty of light all day long.

oranGes Get your daily dose of Vitamin C by growing it in your living space.

You can purchase a dwarf mandarin tree. Just like lemon trees, orange trees need plenty sunshine and a spacious pot. Make sure the soil is dry between watering and harvest your fruits when they are at their most vibrant orange.

Kale For all you juicers out there, this one is for you. When planting kale make sure you give them a little space by planting them in six square inch pots. Keep the soil moist and as the seedlings grow, pull out the weaker ones, leaving one strong plant. It needs a bit of water and harvest the leaves from the outer edge.

TomaToes Last but not least, tomatoes.Tomatoes are great because they can thrive in both gardens or pots. Ideal for you urbanites. Chose a 6 inch or larger pot you can keep in a warm area that gets about 12 hours of sunlight a day.

Their menu boasts high-end meat and fish dishes along with reasonably priced sandwiches, salads, and burgers.Their food is delicious, but so is their massive beer menu. They even offer a late night menu for food and drinks after the game.

One of the most affordable options in Navy Yard, 100 Montaditos is a Spanish-based sandwich company that has settled in at The Yards. As the name suggests, the restaurant offers 100 different small tapas-style sandwiches for only $2. They also offer a variety of Spanish favorites like tortilla espanola and croquetas.
