Division 3

Hello Division 3! Happy New Year! I hope you have all had a restful December and are ready to serve in this second semester! This semester is also the one in which DLC will be held, and I hope you all will attend. The whole district board is putting a lot of work into it, and it should be a lot of fun! January is a time for reflection and making big decisions, so I hope that whatever projects your club chooses to pursue in 2025, they will all be successes!

Like every year, at DLC 2025 all attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a service project with clubs from all over the MissouriArkansas District. This year we will be making Baby Care Kits to donate to Convoy of Hope in Springfield! As such, here is a list of all the items needed for each kit; we would like for everyone to be able to bring as many of these items as possible so that we can help as many young children in need as possible!

Named in honor of the decorated Kiwanian Dr. Earl A. Collins, the Earl Collins Foundation was founded in 1960 in order for Missouri-Arkansas Kiwanians to invest funds into youth organizations, including Circle K International, Builders Clubs, KKids, Aktion Clubs, and our very own Key Clubs! In 1984, the Earl Collins Scholarship Fund was incorporated to further honor Dr. Collins. In 2020 The Earl Collins Foundation expanded to add a Grant Program for service leadership programs such as Key Club to fund service projects which require funding beyond the capacity of a single club. Every Key Club in Missouri and Arkansas is invited and encouraged to take advantage of the possibilities for service which the Earl Collins Foundation offers! Go to k14.site.kiwanis.org/earl-collins-foundation-scholarships/ and look for the ECF-Brochure under the “ECF Grants and Information” section for more information.
If your Key Club has an idea for a large-scale service project, but is struggling to come up with the money to fund it, then an Earl Collins Foundation Grant may be perfect for you! The Earl Collins Foundation offers up to $500 in grants for service leadership programs; all you have to do to get the money is fill out the application under “ECF Grants and Information” on the Earl Collins site!
