FROM THE EDITOR THE BOOK IS CALLED OPPORTUNITY, AND IT’S FIRST CHAPTER IS NEW YEARS DAY ― EDITH LOVEJOY
I have never been one to make New Years Resolutions, maybe because I normally give up on them a few days after I make them. What I like to do instead, is have a word for the year. Last year my word was peace, because the two years before were filled with so much turmoil and chaos. I feel I achieved, for the most part anyway, a level of peace in my life that I needed at the time. For me, alcohol had been a cause of anxiety in my life so in September of 2023 I stopped drinking alcohol in an effort to bring more peace to my life. The word I am choosing for 2024 will be health. I will be focusing more on getting myself healthy, both physically and mentally. I plan on going into 2024 and seizing every opportunity I can to make myself a better more healthier version of what I am now. If you were to choose a word for 2024, what would your word be?
