Great Adventure

In the North Atlantic lies a unique archipelago: SaintPierre-et-Miquelon. A mosaic of breathtaking natural landscapes, captivating stories, and rich cultural heritage awaits you just 25 kilometers off the Canadian coast.
Stepping off the ferry or plane, you enter a world where Europe meets North America. The locals speak French, the Euro is the official currency, and even the electrical outlets remind you that you're no longer in Canadian territory. Here, modernity blends with tradition, and every element, from postage stamps to colorful house facades, tells a story.
Saint-Pierre
Miquelon

The town of Saint-Pierre, flourishing around a protected cove surrounded by several islands, has been a hub for major fishing and trading ships since the 16th century, weaving the rich fabric of our community. With its 6,000 inhabitants, Saint-Pierre is a friendly small town that awakens the spirit with its museums, delights the palate in its restaurants, and invites relaxation in its serene spaces, promising lively evenings where residents and visitors share a friendly drink late into the night.
An hour and a half by ferry, the island of Miquelon offers a striking contrast. Connected to Langlade by a legendary sand isthmus, locally called "La Dune", Miquelon is a sanctuary for wildlife, flora, and adventurous souls. It's a land where nature unfolds, offering a range of hikes and discoveries, where history is etched in the sands
of past shipwrecks, and where local culinary specialties promise to awaken your senses.
This guide is your invitation to explore Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, embrace our way of life, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Prepare to discover a place where every day is an adventure, every meal a celebration, and every encounter a budding friendship.
Welcome
to our little piece of France, lost in North America.

Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon charmed me immensely, but above all, it was meeting people in various contexts that touched me.
Quickly identified as a visitor, people were delighted to chat with me and advise me on my solo exploration of the islands. It was a real pleasure to discover such a beautiful destination in the middle of summer without crowds, without heatwaves, enjoying privileged access to all the local benefits, especially the breathtaking landscapes and the delicious cuisine!
