A message from the Lower School Principal, Nate Mylin Greetings Knights Families! It is an honor to serve as the Lower School Principal at Traders Point Christian Schools. Here, it is our mission to challenge and educate students within a framework of a Biblical worldview while leading them to a personal faith and transformed life in Jesus Christ. Our teachers and staff are dedicated to providing a quality education, while creating personal relationships with our Knights, their families, and our surrounding community, and all with the emphasis of impacting the world for Christ! As a pastoral leader, it is my role to see that each student is provided with a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, socially, and spiritually. It is my desire as LS Principal to work alongside our teachers and staff to provide an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas. Building and maintaining a strong spiritual foundation and faith is key, individually and as a family in Christ. This requires us to live in community and support each other daily through prayer and positive words and actions. As an academic leader, I work with the teachers and staff to ensure we are using best practices for instruction and assessment, and that we are creating a culture where learning is both fun and rigorous. At TPCS, we recognize the power and importance of hands-on, experiential “learning by doing”. TPCS is growing its progressive and innovative philosophy, where children enjoy learning to read and write through our reading and writing workshop models, explore the wonders of mathematics through Bridges Math, using manipulatives to build understanding, see themselves as young scientists through integrated STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) projects, and get excited about outdoor and environmental education in our beautiful outdoor learning labs and spaces. Also, by nurturing relationships with our Knights, their teachers and families, and using effective assessment and data collection processes, we are able to individualize instruction that best meets the needs of all learners. When our young Knights are empowered, and more importantly inspired, to take an active role in their own education, the love of learning flourishes! My prayer each day is that with guidance from our Lord and Savior, we are able to help each child maximize their academic and spiritual growth in a positive, respectful, and Christ-centered environment that promotes academic progress as well as develops and nurtures a personal relationship with Christ. All of us here at TPCS are excited to partner with you as we seek to do God's will in the engaging work of training scholars, making disciples, and graduating leaders! Blessings,

Nate Mylin, MS Ed.
